That sounds amazing.

what's the problem? if not for speedrun 2 SMRs should be fine unless they're undergeared.
Honestly its easier with SMN.
In the hallways when you have to run away from the huge tonberry you can sacrifice your pet by placing it infront of them so the pt can be safe.
In the last boss just use Energy drain, Ruin 2, and pet damage to take care of small tonberry.
If the tonberry are getting close to the tank use your pet to attack and tank the tonberry so it wont hit the tank, then kill them.. This buys you more time.
If the Knife stacks are high, and the tonberry is getting close to the tank, just have your pet tank the tonberry while setting it on steady after so it wont attack them while waiting for the stacks to disapear.
With summoner you have more options
Couple things..
The adds dead long before they die and you can attack them when they are dead... don't mess around attacking them longer than needed.
The adds do not have to be killed. THe main goal is to keep them off that tank because they will wreck the tank. If your dps is high it is possible to get him down without killing many of the adds.
I have done WP many times with double melee. If two mnks can do the run two smn can.
I play SMN all the time in WP, and usually end up on adds, most of the times I can handle it, but the major problem I face is my pet running off to fight the boss. Which isn't what I it to do at all. But the bonus of SMN is that I can fight 2 enemies at once. Titan's huge HP Pool, can easily withstand the Tonberries. The other things is that most people don't understand while things can't be slept (Like Tonberries, bosses, or their adds) They can be bound. So if things go south in the Jelly Fight, let a SMN use Tri-Disaster and it'll stop all of them in their tracks and just pick off one at a time, until you clear the field.
It can go attack the boss but I tend to use Garuda for the adds and just have it attack one while I attack another then rinse and repeat till you get to the big group, then I just pull all and Swiftcast Shadowflare.
SMN is the one of the best Job to tackle the King & adds.
1. Run in to the centre, use pet CD, Raging strike, apply DoTs on King, Fester. (Focus on)
2. Swiftcast, ShadowFlare in the centre, stand in the middle, Bio to quick-pull adds, depending on how many stack your tank is comfortable with. When adds are around you, Miasma II.
3. Change focus back to King, Fester, reapply DoTs, use some more CD.
4. Wash rinse repeat, and LB the last wave when Stalkers appear. (Or you want to have a melee use LB)
5. Victory.
Other DD will be constantly on the boss without having to worry about adds or Kite. I never have to move around or kite, just stand your ground and go crazy.
I use a similar strat on my SCH as well, while keeping an eye on the Tank's HP. That way both DD can focus on boss.
I am summoner and i handle all the adds on my own without any dot's...the tonbery die with 2-3 attacks.
Though my equip is pretty good. Earlier when it wasn't i still managed to solo handle the adds. So i guess its the player, not the job.
Until I read this thread, I never thought to really bother using DoTs on the adds. I usually just Ruin2, sic pet, and Energy Drain sometimes, and I've never had a problem.
I may start trying some things here to see if I can get it done faster/more efficiently, but my way has been working so far. :)
There are 4 smn pt shouts for wp. You won't get speedrun timing for it but it's a refreshing way of playing it when you're burnt out of speedrunning. Have titan be your tank and spam dots, bane and shadowflare. Mobs die fast enough
