Why SE should hire me

I think people are being a bit harsh. Getting your first job out of college is not always what you thought it would be going up until that point, and you've got a long way to go starting a career. So if we take the fact that your strength is not as a programmer, do other options remain? Sure. Forum moderator. Creativity directory. Marketing.

... but they probably still aren't pulling your resume from the forums ... but that doesn't mean you can't have a bit of fun on the forums ... like showing us (by which I mean everyone but me) your tattoo.

Like everyone that does good in life knows exactly what they're supposed to do at age 8 and spends their entire life to that goal. People are different, and they take different paths to becoming successful. They have a better chance when they enjoy what they do. But seriously, you guys have enough free time to tear down everyone? It is the internet I guess. You get to hide behind your avatar, kind of like the dumb Volt that pulled in front of me and then took a quick left turn this morning.

To be brutal, this is not a good resume. You write. What have written? Have you been published somewhere, by a real publisher? Do you have excerpts we can review? You studied Japanese. Are you fluent? Can you translate? Have you done any translation professionally? You took copy editing. Did you do any copy editing? What works did you copy edit, and where were they published? Again, do you have a sample of a work you copy edited for our review? You research. Researched *what*? Have you had any of your research published in a peer-reviewed journal? Once more, do you have a paper you've written up on your research results we can review?
