Bring it to the streets

I'm not disagreeing that the market wards suck, but putting all the retainers in the streets is just a terrible idea! It would cause horrid lag, and not really achieve anything new that the wards aren't doing already.

Auction houses are *sadly* the most effective way of dealing with these problems.

Trust you to misunderstand things. Surprise, surprise.

If it's going to cause "horrid lag" if you'll parden the phrase, then SE should figure out a way to make it cause less lag. They do get paid for a reason you know. Figure it out!

2 problems with that OP.... one it would be Jeuno/Whitegate all over again, no thanks.... and second, search function would not really work in that type of thing.

Err...the reason the loading takes forever is because the game has to load up so many retainer NPCs. You think it'll get any better if it's on the street??? O.o

Yes it would.

Allow me to run you through the scenario: I'm walking down Uldah's main road, and I decide I want to buy some shit. As such, I bring out my UI with retainer stall search Ap and viola! Now I know where shit is. Make it happen.

Again, this is just a measure to pin up lag and making impossible a search for items. "Fix the lag" just don't work in that way, sorry.

Fix the lag... ha, you act like there's more then 10 players to load in on a server at a time.

If SE doesn't want to make it happen, someone else will.

I distinctly recall a pretty thriving market place system in RO and Mabinogi. Funny to see SE beaten by cheap, Korean indy developers.
