No, just that they exist and that 2.2 will bring them with The Binding Coil of Bahamut update.
Only thing we've seen in concept art and that they exist.

There is no official anything stating what gear is what in all honesty.

Calling Artifact gear "AF1" is technically incorrect if you want to play the semantic game with me. Because it's just AF=Artifact.

There is no official name for the 2nd set of AF looking gear. Most from FFXI call it Relic(AF2)
In FFXI Relic armor came from Dynamis, where you obtained your relic weapon too. But it was the second set of "Artifact" type gear, so it was shortened from Relic=AF2.

So in my own head I see it as this:

Artifact gear=AF1(short version)
Relic=AF2
New gear coming=AF3

That's just how I'm going to see it, since in XI (my main MMO I came from) Empy gear was AF3 and was the 3rd JSE specific gear set to come out for all the jobs.

The real question is this: is AF2+1 AF3?

Yeah, I honestly feel like the gear will be augmented as we progress. It's appearance will be altered here and there as it's upgraded.

Haha I like you Doctormog but really AF1.5? That is just stupid. There are no 1.5 items at all in FFXIV. Here name a half item for me! You can't because they don't exist. For all intents and purposes that Mythology gear is a +1 version of our quested AF. It is higher item level and same item model. If you don't like AF+1 then the second option would just be calling it myth gear or some variant.

Also +1 denotes HQ what? None of my HQ items have a +1.

I subscribe to the old XI Dynamis/Limbus/Abyssea means of denoting armor tiers. (PLD Perspective)

Gallant Armor was your Artifact (AF) (AFv1)
HQ Gallant Armor was AF+1 (or AFv1+1)
Valor Armor was Relic (AF2 or AFv2)
HQ Valor Armor was Relic +1 (AFv2+1)
+2 Valor Armor was just that. Relic +2 (AFv2+2)
Creed Armor was Empyrean (AF3)
HQ Creed Armor was AF3+1 (AFv3+1)
+2 Creed was AF3+2 (AFv3+2)

Because the items are named similarly in this game, I go with Relic armor for job specific myth gear.
