Please do not lock Jobs to the Weapon Class that unlocks them.

Just the fact that we have a topic like this worries me.

dude really, the jobs are not a seperate enity from the classes. They are an added layer to them. Like an advanced form with JS skills we get via that job.
For example pugilist has the specialized job as monk and you get hundred fists.

Think of it like this.
classes are for leveling and casual content (quests etc) you can mix and match your skills

Jobs will be for high end content, such as the dungeons or other end game things. You prob won't beable use cross skills, but in return you have a specialized form of your class with job related skills used for tougher fights.

PS cai your misunderstanding what he said. he isn;t saying they are roles. But that they are not pugilist +1 either. Rather that you can either be a pugilist or a monk.

that isn't even the issue..... it is people complaining classes didn't feel different. (still not an issue, but caved anyway) They are not getting ride of the current system just adding to it. And it is only boring if ppl start cookie cutting. (which will prob happen. And i'd prob quit if it does.)

So pretty much there dam titles? it be better if they was Advanced Classes

If you start back as level 1 Monk that be a good idea then i wont mind it and when player check me am a monk that be good not Pug/monk -.- that be lame.

Would you please stop saying this it is wrong. Matsui said so. Its not an advanced class. Its not an "Added layer" to the current classes. Its just a Specialization for a Role. Which is what the job system has always been, but in the past the job system never limited the Job to a specific weapon

So if you unlock Monk you be the same level As your Pug? just a dam monk now? or are you set back to level 1? Becuase if you not send back to level 1 i think i find this to be lame i really want a advanced job not

i find that to be really dumb and lame in my books

i like the feel of level up back from level 1 if make me learn my class and so on.

The way it sounds. to me

You Level Pugilist up to 20. Unlock quest for Monk. Monk is unlocked and equipped. You are still a Pugilist, but with the Monk Specialization equipped you now do Kick Attacks and have skills you can equip that only monk know, but also you can't equip cross class skills monk shouldn't have access too.

The only thing is it doesn't say if monk is forced to always be a pugilist. Which it shouldn't.

Hmmm i don't know if i like that sound like a title system at the end which i was not liking to start with. it be better if the job was a job by itself 100% away from Pugilist.

I guess i'll wait for it to come out to see if i like it or not.

I actually was hoping for a simple Title System. But I don't want it so simple that only Pugilist can be Monk. That sounds too much like RO and boring.

Lol your idea is boring and dumb allowing anyone to be anything is not so great Monk use hand to hand how would you be a conj and call yourself a monk using a staff? that make no sense.

The two system i was thinking was

Like FFXI unlock any job with any class and and they have there own Wep

Or

Pug level to 30 unlock Monk

Your now level 1 monk with it's own JA,WS,Spell

but i guess SE are to lazy and don't have time to make such a system like that and they did it the lazy way.
