no, I barely get lag within my actual server. I usually see lag spikes in instances.

you are somewhat correct... from what they announced. the PS3 players will get free Beta access for PS4 when the system releases in Japan. Apparently the FFXIV ps4 beta begins the day the PS4 releases over there... which is FEB 24(?) 2014...

I see, but that actually works out better for me. If the SSD helps, I can get by with that, but it also means that I won't have to fight through the Christmas insanity to get a PS4 when it's released. I can wait until the game is released early next year. :)

can you make a video on how to tank with a controller for beginners? target switching correctly, group enmity spreading, etc?!

after completing an odin fate, I found that turning off flying text significantly helps. I could actually see and complete the odin fate.

Thanx for the tips! i am a completely newbie to mmos period, i hve never played pc always ps3 games. so this is a big deal to get sed to. i dont think many of the pc players understand how difficult it can be for ps3 players sometimes. it drives me crazy when i'm in a fate and dnt see the monsters til their dead!!! so thnx! also what sux is i bought a ps3 bluetooth just 4 this game n well cnt use it!!! i think that blows!!! i dnt hve a keyboard so i guess i will hve to get one when i can. i've made it so far without one but it is a pain that i cnt type fast to tell party members things n such.

are there any specific ports that need to be forwarded for PS3 play to go smoothly?

Yeah, Fasho. I understand some people aren't pro mmo players and just want to enjoy the game, so I like to provide help. If you have bluetooth capability on your computer or laptop, you can use your headset with ventrilo, teamspeak, mumble, skype, google+, or many more to talk to other party members if they have that application also. Or if you have a bluetooth smartphone, get the same apps for your phone and use your new headset there. ;)

Not sure how you're router is setup, but depending on the game... you sometimes have to port forward a few things, but I didn't have to do anything to get this one running smoothly.
