The Lodestone's Grand Companies page is updated!

I'm sure this is one of the ways for dev to bring more people into the game AND to LL as well as Gridania. It's stated that you will undergo through some sort of a trial (personality quiz? lol) to decide which company suits you best. IMO it'll be good for SE to give some incentives to those players who join a company recommended by the trial.

Or, put on a temporary recruitment cap for a Company with too many players, like they do with World servers lol

And make it so that Company missions are City-state based, meaning missions from the Company in Gridania will only be around the Black Shroud and its surrounding areas, and so forth for Ul'dah and Limsa Lominsa. This will definitely help to spread people.

I completely forgot that indeed a Company can be a new way to progress! I think it's a grand idea if they can implement a kind of Mark-hunting missions like in FFXII/FFXIII tied to the Grand Companies, with gear & gil as rewards, as well as having our own rank/title depending on many missions completed / mark killed.

Yes! I am thrilled about this, this concept is getting better and better.
And though I started out in Ul'dah, I will be with the Twin Adders of Gridania when the time comes.

Yeah that would be fair to expect once the dungeons are completed and a release date has been announced.

Here they just threw an update to keep us informed on a regular basis because apparently some fans can't wait more than one week to get their fix (hell there are even some threads with the sole purpose of asking for when will the new info be available).
