Thf -> Nin Where?

Lost interest... after everyone decided this was going to be a "class". Sorry guess it's just my Personal Opinion that it will be a Job with it's own Job stone. It's a classic job. I'm sure we'll see something like "Assassin" or "Scout" be the "class" for THF. Again just my guess/opinion.

Also I'm pretty sure Yoshi-P said Musketeer was the next "class"? I'll try to find the letter where he might have said that.

Q: Can you give us any information about possible new classes or jobs like thief, ninja, samurai, or musketeer?
A: We definitely want to add more classes in future patches. For melee classes, I believe scout-type classes are somewhat lacking. By this I mean classes that can move around stealthily and attack from behind or steal items from monsters. The lack of magic classes needs to be addressed as well. We've received requests for ninja and samurai, especially from overseas, but we can't give out any specifics yet. Rest assured that new classes are definitely coming.

why make the thief a class and not a jobs, because, get a class will be twin dagger user, in this case rogue is the same than thief with a different name and assassin is the same than ninja.

don't forget we must get into a guild for learn this new type of fighting. i don't see a guild of twin dagger user. other point we have get the previous class because of the V1, the arcanist already feel really really different than the other class.

There is a distinct difference between the two and their materials with White Mage weapons being made of branches and nature-oriented mats. Same with single-handed weapons since Black Mages use rods, and White Mage use wands. That's been a staple of the FF games for years and it's distinction exists in the game. At a certain point though with daggers I stopped seeing them completely and honestly a Paladin with a dagger is just kinda dumb. It still makes sense to retool all daggers as weapons for a new class.

I'd rather not see Ninja use dual katana in reversed grip. 1)Try using twin katana in reversed grip in RL, it's clumsy as a newborn infant trying to walk, even if you are trained and skilled. 2)If the Class that Ninja comes from does use dual daggers or such, then dual wakizashi or more likely, dual tanto, are much better choices for using in reversed grip.

That said, if NIN somehow happens to come from PGL for some reason, I'd kinda be ok with it, if only because the weapon choice still thematically fits with the FF image of ninjas, especially the claws, several of the older games with ninjas and fist weapons allowed the ninjas to use the fist weapons. Edge(FF4) could (You likely didn't though, Amarant(FF9) had his fist weapons and he's pretty much a hybrid of a Monk and Ninja. Can't remember if FF6 had fist weapons, pretty sure it didn't though, and Yuffie is well, Yuffie.

I hope that if they ever release a Ninja class, they'll be able to throw Shurikens aswell c:

what you will make as guild for the class, if thief was a jobs? a rogue guild? is the same thing, juste a different name.
don't forget this point the class need a guild. where the poeple will learn to use the skill link to the weapon the thief will come out.
the twin dagger user (since we all think that it will be this, me too i hope it will be this) will be a sneaky class, that will attack with position as main point. (if they are straightfoward fighter i sacrify all the kitten of the world!) but wait the monk is already like this!!

They should definitely add Thief and Ninja in the next expansion/major patch. The thief sneak attacks were always my favourite in FFXI and ninja was a blast. I'll sign any petition to add both of them :)
