You didn't even read OP's post did you? He wants the option to skip scenes so he can "farm" and not be discriminated against for
not skipping the scenes.
But honestly if it came down to this problem in the first place of having these "speed runs" it's because of SE design in the first place that called for grinds to take place.

Meant to reply at someone else but I'm typing on my phone and first time posting.

I've actually never seen any of this "no PS3 allowed" nonsense.
So a PS3 player might slow down the run by 30 seconds to a minute. Who the hell cares? don't people have bigger problems to worry about than this?
-
Of all the things they could fix/add put their time into you choose this to be a major concern. You my friend and your post are a waste of time.

I agree with the argument as long as it is an option that affects you alone.
An option in the menu that allows you to shut off cutscenes for that dungeon when you queue for it. If you are being included in a group, then you may click on the dialogue box for entering the dungeon "Cutscene: Yes/No". Hitting "No" makes it so the scenes never initiate. I HOPE this doesn't interfere with the coding, but sadly, SE it a little too invested in its coding to make this decision lightly.

20 extra seconds per scene adds up to, what, less than two minutes per run?
This is vying with the people who think butt size is ruining the game for them for "smallest problem FFXIV has."
-
Castrum.... why this dungeon has to show us a cutscene every 2 minutes? and many cutscenes pop while we're fighting... what the hell?
-
This needs to get done, this is a major reason PS3 players get excluded at end game. CM/Prae farmers don't want to wait for 1 or two guys to load in late and are treated as if they are a burden on the group.

Again, i've never seen ps3 players excluded from endgame, certainly not because it takes them a few more seconds to cancel a cutscene. It amazes me that anyone would get upset about that at all. I challenge any of you to convince me this is a real problem, because I don't see it. Generally speaking, unless someone straight up tells me they're a PS3 player, I wouldn't know the difference. I don't ask, and you don't need to tell.
