Sadly I don't see RDM being in FF14 with how the game handles debuffs. Number of debuff slots, reduced duration on reapplication, etc...
My vote goes for Ninja. The game could use more tanks and I love how involved it was.
I want my Thief back.
2 tanks (WAR, PLD)
2 melee DPS (DRG, MNK)
2 Healers (WHM, SCH)
2 ranged magical DPS (BLM, SMN)
1 ranged physical DPS (ARC)
You know what needs to be done.
And you would never see them at endgame. Support classes never worked. Either they were A) Mandatory, which creates Princess <Class>, a player that knows you have to bring them, And therefore allows them to be assholes. Or B) Completely worthless at both their roles and therefore a waste of a group slot.
I would rather Yoshida's team worked on creating fully fleshed out and useful classes before working on niche classes.
Traditionally Red Mage is a hybrid of damage & healing magic /w melee attack power, not a user of buffs/debuffs. In fact in their original incarnations one of the shortcomings of RDM was they couldn't learn many of the buff/debuff and other specialty spells White & Black Mages received.
Regardless the concept of a fairly open slate to work with, being Red Mages in the early games had a little bit of everything. So no reason Square shouldn't be able to find a place for them.
A class that isnt a copy paste from FF11.
WTF do you people want recycled content for.
Ninja, Samurai or Anything that doesn't make Archer a Bard.
(Class that wasnt in FF11)
