get rid of the move bar

Maybe we have our controllers set up differently. Or maybe I never realized that functionality existed. I will certainly look into that next time I log in.

Better Idea: Make all 3 action/move bars visible a the same time. . . .

I think there should be multiple options in the Configuration menu.

1.) Showing all the actions slots is great for mouse users
2.) Using the numeric keypad is probably the most efficient way to select commands as they are right now
3.) The action bar as is works well for controller users.

I'm not sure what it is about macros that makes them different on the controller in XIV and XI. I think in XI you only had to push the button once and the corresponding macro set would stay up there. In XIV you have to hold the appropriate button then highlight your desired macro and select it. There also seems to be a little more execution lag in XIV. Things aren't as snappy pretty much across the board.

There's a delay between pressing a macro and it actually firing off. There's a delay when pressing an action and it actually firing off. If there was less delay in this area I think people would feel a little more comfortable with the system overall. I think the clunkiness of macros, and the battle system in general, stems from this. Despite XIV's battles being set at a faster pace, they seem clunkier than XI's due to the lag between selection and execution.

in xi you had the option of having it hold triggers or single press from my recolection. But yes very similar

What I dislike about the current Action Bar system is the lack of usability.. If I've taken the time (which I have) to get Gladiator to 50.. Why should I not be able to use all of my abilities and not just 30? 20 of which aren't even Gladiator abilities because of the dreaded open-ended customization this game has.

because of the dreaded open-ended customization this game has, you'll have ALL the abilities of the classes you exped so far. So would be broken and confusing with so much skills
