Summer Festival in FFXIV (Let's hear your suggestions!)

To be honest i'd rather them stop wasting time creating silly holiday events and just put out some real content.

I would love to see a summer festival.... fireworks especially... swim suits and yakatas.... and little novelty weapons that you get from quests and the novelty weapon you receive would coincide with the battlecraft class that you completed the quest with.... example: you complete as an archer you receive a novelty bow that dispenses arrows or something. Oh and sp multiplie rings similar to the exp ones in FFXI. Ya and I really don't want to see a Roegadyn in a speedo ... Yikes!

LOL! (/sarcasm) did I say it was because of lack of resources? I just think there is nothing worth celebrating with this game.

It's not really a "holiday" event, per se. It's more like a festival celebrating the season.

Swimsuits that are CUTE in every color... cute keyword here... sunglasses... a pool of water we can enter... fireworks... a weird hippy dude with hippy music handing out scoops to collect goldfish... cute sandals... and a tropical drink with a cute umbrella... please ^^

i really want some yukatas (and please make them long and elegant instead of "is that a belt?" skirt for miqote like in XI)

i was also a big fan of firework items in XI, i already gathered lots of that confetti "firework" that we have right now lol

Does anyone actually know how to get the bikinis?

I don't think they've turned the event on yet. Here's to hoping they will sometime today or this weekend. Please, Yoshi-P. I've been waiting to put my Miqo in a bikini for some time now. Just look at my name!

To be honest, I've just been kinda looking around forums to see if the event was available, and I was even more lazy about actually posting before.

The Summer Festival in FFXI was probably my favorite MMO event that I've played; I would have been perfectly happy having it copy+pasted over to FFXIV haha. Unfortunately, it seems like the swimsuits took the place of yukatas, and I haven't seen any come up in the .dat mining. :( Oh well, maybe we'll have some cool fireworks and stuff to make up for it!
