We were able to combat the lag issue by using a VPN service such as Spotflux (which is free but seems to cap your dl speed at 2Mbps). Alternatively you can use a paid VPN such as PureVPN which we use anyways because we are overseas and want to watch netflix & Hulu w/o having our connection speed capped.
Since using spotflux/PureVPN we have had 0 lag spikes. ZERO! None! zilch!
I understand that the issue still has something to do with SE, and they should fix their issues, but in the mean time this is a temp fix. Try a VPN and see.

Seems to be consolidating itself to Duty Finders for me now... ugh.
Especially guildhests.

Using VPN fixes it
I got so tired of the r0, I just payed for a vpn client: https://www.overplay.net/ its like $9 p/m no more freezes no more lag.
I'm happy but on the other hand I find it kinda ridiculous that I need to pay for a vpn client just to be able to play and se is still blaming our isp's :(
But on the other hand its cheaper then the gil spend on all the repairs from death due to freezing :p

as of today this seems largely fixed for me

Hopefully others will be getting the same results

Can't even connect to game without instant 90000 in loading screen. Made a thread about it, moved pretty past. Got shut down on page 11 by admin and moved to 'resolved issues'.
Propaganda, just like that sticky at the top of the forums that says The 90000 issue has been resolved. Used to quell the masses.
VPN doesn't work.
So I'd definitely trade laggy play and random disconnects for not being able to play period.

VPN works for me - subscribed to ExpressVPN.
Extra money, but... No frustration :/ Hopefully this won't be a mandatory thing.

Verizon fios, i'm out of Maryland but my ISP is out of northern VA, the lag is unplayable and after countless issues i'm really hoping this is the last one. Posted in a few other posts about the EXACT same issue over 2 weeks. I'm not sure why this is happening and I don't pretend to know, but I called my ISP which they assured me it wasn't on my end, I reset my modem and router about three times. I also play several other MMO's with 0 lag and it seems to trend how we are all in the same area with this issue.
-
same happening to me but its stupid loads of EU people are having this issue and were on a EU server.
My Area UK - Northern Ireland
ISP - Talktalk
Server - Ragnorak
please SE get this fixed its hard to tank with ur R0 every 1min

I am with SHAW Cable in Calgary, Canada.
I seem to only get the issue when I am on my monk (damage is likely too high for the server to handle so it disconnects me every mob I try to fight)
This started last night and has continued throughout today.
Crafting seems to be fine.
VPN did not work.

Area: US Virginia
ISP: Verizon Fios
Time of occurrence: Pretty much always. Starts out fine, then I get lots of stop and start lag.
VPN doesn't seem to work. Other MMOs such as WoW and Rift work fine and have been working for years.
