SOOOOOT BLAAACK! omg finally TT TT I was following the chart as best I could, but was still getting stuck in loops and all over the place. Just found the calculator yesterday and it took 2 feeds to get black. (this is after feeding my chocobo 3 times a day since the day after the mini patch. And aiming for soot black since the beginning o.o Anywho, woo!

So last night I also used that link to try to get Lotus Pink on my alt character, which I've also been trying weeks for. Reset her chocobo to Desert Yellow, and followed the calculator for Desert Yellow to Lotus Pink.. And boom, 6 hours later, Lotus Pink on the first shot as well. Someone in my FC used the link and finally got Snow White after being stuck in a loop for a while now. Those trying for black got really really close to black, instead of being stuck in loops forever. And after the next feed, they should probably be Soot Black finally.

I have been trying to get to soot black since it came out, and I constantly get into a loop with blues, browns, and greens. I'm currently at deepwood green. Any advice?

OK, so your current RGB value is around Red 29, Green 17, Blue 133 you need Red+34, Green+30 and Blue-70 to get to Grape Purple. Which I work out as 8 Apples, 7 pears and 13 Pineapples. Your red and green are quite low so I would start out with a bunch of pineapples probably 5, to push your red and green up, then alternate through them all (1 of each type).

Try valfruit x2 and pineapple x1 You may be in the same loop i was stuck in for 1week too i got soot black from my 4th deep wood green.

J/K. Well technically you can do the manual math; it's fairly easy.

Ooooor you can try your luck using Chopski's FFXIV Chocobo Calculator (mileage may vary). You have the option to select "8th Scale" RGB values or "Original" RGB values. In all of my manual math recommendations that I have done throughout this thread I (and several others) have always used "Original" but the difference in fruit feed recommendations between the 2 scales is usually very minimal.
