show your au ra!

Glad to see a forum for Au'ra, hope you all don't mine me posting a few of my characters, really indecisive to which I want to pick, hope someone can help me with this little predicament!
This is my Male Au'ra which I'm quite happy with at the moment, after watching the benchmark with this character, was very tempted to main him :D

And here is both my Female Au'ra's, both are from the separate clans, my first Au'ra is more elegant whilst the other is quite demonic (well at least I tried to anyway!)

Usually I prefer female au ra, but I gotta say that your male au ra is gorgeous! Love the colourscheme and the face you've chosen for him; the face paint makes him really stand out, as well. :)

I agree with Yasria. I don't usually rate the males, but I think you've done a really good job there. :)

So for me, I'd go for the male or the female Raen.

Still tweaking mine. I've basically darkened her skin by two shades and changed the pinks to purples on 1 eye and make up (which is why I chose the Raen above, as I'm playing around with similar colour schemes myself). Then flicked through the hairstyles with different colour combos to make sure I have enough decent option on release. :)

Checking out this thread just reinforces my anger in not having more secondary options for character customization. Tons of female Au Ra in here and they all kinda blend together :/

Maybe dissapointed, or just a plain want want for more options, but angry?

I personally think there are plenty of options available to make your character unique (in b4 same face type makes it identical to the rest), but of course some options will always be more popular than others. Regardless, I will not taint this thread with futher discussion on this topic, a thread already exists for that. btw, I am all for more options. :)

Though, to be fair, there is some "anger" considering the potential, the year we live in, how long I've been playing with the same restrictive options and how long it's taking them to add even 1 facial tattoo (event tats), not to mention anything more elaborate. Brought this back from several pages ago to say that your Au Ra are lovely! I'm especially drawn to the first because despite that face/horn combo being pretty unpopular, you managed to make it look so elegant. And the coloration of you PSO-based gal is very unique. Not many can pull off blue-green skin and have their character NOT look like a waterlogged corpse. :P Gorgeous character concepts!

Oh wow, this character looks amazing. Colors and use of dark limbal rings, freakin sweet! I like the first hairstyle the best but both looks great!

Have not seen many purple girls out there so I gave it a try

Wow didn't realise a few people liked my Male Au'ra, was quite shocked with that one, I personally like the colour scheme myself, might change the colour of the face paint, but for now, keeping it as the way it is :)

They both look great, but I'd personally go with this one out of the two. I like the contrast between the purples and the lighter colours of the hair, face paint and scales/bones. :)

I loved the female model, but I'm not really a fan of the male model. So I settled on making a female Au Ra, that looks tomboyish/male. He (she) Shall be known as Eugene Farrence!

I have a problem with constantly adjusting my future au ra :/ Unfortunately I have a habit of once I come up with a character, they forever look the same, and I dont make any sweeping changes even if there's something I like. Since Im already race changing from hyur, this seems to be the best chance to force myself to change how Dijana looks, so Im doing little adjustments constantly.

Really like this hairstyle, but a lot of people seem to be picking it. I didn't like how the highlights look on a lot of the other styles though.

As the husband pointed out though, it does seem fitting for a tank and Im excited for DRK. Its got long bits and is cute, but the back is cropped.

I like seeing all the little updates people post of their creations. I'm currently in the same boat. Mostly trying to pick between clans now. Otherwise, pretty much married to the features I'd like to use.

As for the hair thing, I wouldn't worry about popularity. You're always going to run into your clone eventually. Every one of us. So pick the hair you love best since you'll be looking at her the most :D She's become very pretty, btw.

I tried to retain the core idea for her original design, but the Au Ra realizes my original idea better. Yes, looking cute, but having a more piercing "cold-ish" sight, and overall "stronger presence" rather than a cute look.

I think some have commented about the Au Ra/Miqo'te "Who's more cute" topic, and I still think Miqo'te has a very clear victory on the cute factor. I feel Au Ra are meant to look a bit more "serious"... I feel after the first few months of a lot of Au Ra, we'll continue to see cats dominate as the most popular, at least for female characters. Male Au Ra look super hot and super cool. They are my favorite-looking male characters.

I'm indecisive between 2 and 3, honestly. But really, it's your character. It doesn't matter what I think.

I say take a break, don't look at them or make new characters for a few days. Then give them a new, fresh look 2-3 days later and it'll be much easier for you to make a decision.

I know it'll hard (oh trust me, I know x__x), but it worked for me and saved me a lot of money on fantasias.

@Mystra . . . I personally like the purple one.

Personally, I like green (3) best. I think the black scales look better than golden with that hair color as well, but it's up to you. (:

wow... you know comparing them side by side helped! For the purple eye's i still like both... & the Green eye's i liked the Golden scales at least we're getting somewhere!
