Dungeons or by 230 pieces with lore.
Got to Goldsmith 206 on iL180 PvP accessories. Hitting diminished returns.
Is there anything out there 190? 200? Or is it jump right into the 210 PvP accessories.
Looking at the MBs I see nothing between 180 and 250.
Edit: Also Balcksmith 139, what should I be blowing up here?
For your BSM question the guide already has the answer:
dSkill 130-148: Titanium Scythe (r139) [32% - 68%] (crafted, not bought, and preferably melded 1-2 times)
dSkill 148-170: Adamantite Pliers (r148) [50% - 73%] (bought from Junkmonger in Matoya's Cave for 15,966 gil) (melding is still a good idea)
As for 200+ there's several ways for both BSM and GSM:
- Drops from dungeons (mostly GSM)
- Drops from HW Primals (BSM)
- Lore Gear (GSM & BSM)
- Artifact Gear (Obtainable trough Centurion Seals)
- Raid Drops (Mostly GSM)
- Gatherer & Crafter gear obtained through Blue Scrips & Collectables
Stuck at 204 LTW desynth cant find anything to get enuff xp from dungeons i been getting mainly jewelry items. Any suggestions at this level?
Expeditioner set the ones that ltw got me into 240ish at 230 ish you can get dungeon gear too or lore gear
Just resubbed. Is there a cheap way to level gourmet now from 190+?
fishies? fishies and more fishies from diadem i think 230 ptesaurs (however spelled) on culinary but i think i did storm clouds too... What i did is look up a list of the fishies i could get from diadem and just fished and saw which would give me xp on culinary...
Sorry its late i am kinda loopy.
I suppose you mean Peteinosaur (ilvl 220)? They cost more than 40k currently, so thats not an affordable method for me :3 While i could catch them myself i rather sell them :D
Don't see anything with that name in the ilvl range :3
Tips for weaver from 200-250?
Any suggestions for WVR desynth lvl 92 and stuck seems like only crafed items are being suggested?
Also what is the relation of DOH level when desynth like if the item says Weaver lvl 40 but I am lvl 37 even though me desynth lvl is 92 will the 40 affect the result of the desynth success rate?
I personally did iLvl205 pvp gear and semi-cheap glamour gears from PotD and some desynths from void ark (only a few) until 220. Even if there aren't any cheap glamour gears available right now, I'm sure many people will be leveling RDM and SAM in PotD or something this weekend haha... After that I did 230 lore gear and drops from mass Weeping city runs until 235ish and switched up to the expert roulette 2 dungeons that drop iLvl245 armor. Right now I'm sitting at 242 and wondering which would be more efficient lol, I'm leaning more towards returning to weeping.
I have a question for a question for anyone who made it from desynth level 240-250, ESPECIALLY with weaver. Right now I'm sitting at slightly above 242
Lately I've been running expert dungeons that drop iLvl245 armor, the first bosses from both dungeons do not drop weaver desynth items. They drop Belts/Boots only, which are leather etc. None for weaver.
That means I only get a chance at winning a desynthable item from the 2nd and 3rd boss, and it's hard to win greed rolls... worse off, bosses only drop ONE piece of armor.
I'm wondering if anyone did iLvl230s (Lore gear/Weeping City drops) all the way to 250, and roughly how much level gain per item they got?
I haven't been keeping track of all gains, but I have a screenshot showing some of my 237~242 range increases from iLvl245 armors if the reference helps anyone in the future.
At that level I got 0.78, 0.80, 0.55, 0.52, 0.55, double melded and with Tinker's Bacon I think it was like around 65~70%+ desynth chance.
I'm wondering, if I go back to weeping city (lore bonuses, 2 drops per boss x4), would it be more efficient?
How much gains per desynth do you get on average from iLvl230 desynths from Desynth Lvl 240 to 250????
P.S. the oldschool wiki desynth experience charts seem a bit off at this level, even at 235 desynth skill level I seemed to mostly get 0.5~0.7 from iLvl230s. Well, it does say highly estimated lol
dSkill Experience Formula for items r41+ (highly estimated)
dSkill = rlvl-25: ~0.80
dSkill = rlvl-20: ~0.75
dSkill = rlvl-15: ~0.70
dSkill = rlvl-10: ~0.60
dSkill = rlvl-5: ~0.50
dSkill = rlvl: ~0.40
dSkill = rlvl+5: ~0.30
dSkill = rlvl+10: ~0.20
dSkill = rlvl+15: ~0.10
dSkill = rlvl+20: ~0.05
dSkill = rlvl+25: 0.01
dSkill = rlvl+26: 0.00-0.01 (~75% chance of 0.01)
dSkill = rlvl+27: 0.00-0.01 (~50% chance of 0.01)
dSkill = rlvl+28: 0.00-0.01 (~33% chance of 0.01)
dSkill = rlvl+29: 0.00-0.01 (~10% chance of 0.01)
dSkill = rlvl+30 or more: 0.00
cap is raised to 980
so i guess 326 per craft
The new cap is 320 per craft, still 3. The merchant in starting area is incredibly beneficial for leveling up your dSynth 250-280 while making an absurd amount of gil day 1 and probably the days to come as well. Merchant sells everything including accessories. Expanded inventory as well so this update was a win 100% for desynthers. Good to be relevant again.
I currently have my Leatherworker and Goldsmith at 250 each.
To raise them, I've been trading Poetics for Shire gear, and using Tinkerer's calm to increase my chances.
There is also a food you can make which increases Desynthesis chances. I forget the name, but it uses "Smoked Bacon" in the recipe.
You will also get a lot of good gear from dungeons to desynth at this level
What is hard for me now is Blacksmith, which is currently at 200. Weapons are expensive to buy and do not drop often.
You can get the new mats (bloodhempen yarn / gagana leather (or whatever it's called) from Shire gear and I also think from Dun Sciath gear.
Which merchant in which starting area? The Fringes?
How to close the gap for blacksmith ?
I'm currently at 224, weaps in starting area are 250.
I would have to reach 235-240 before starting there.
I'm sorry I have not had time to update this guide for all the changes to desynth. I can say with certainty though that raising skills from 200 to where you can reasonably desynth 255s is hellish. I've been trying HQ Tinker's Bacon with pentamelded 255s, which gives me about a 20% chance, and I've failed every single attempt. Rather disheartening!
PvP seems the best way, but it can only do so much when each match only gets you a single desynth, and you can still fail to desynth it. I don't think there's a better way though for LTW (i205 belts are your friend) or WVR. If PvP is possible for you, I'd recommend collecting a number of them, melding one materia to each, then downing a tinker's bacon for a near 100% chance. After a bit, you shouldn't need so many buffs (but you should still meld until you can hit 100% without it).
Regarding the experience chart I made being out of date, it's very out of date. They buffed exp from desynth massively since I wrote that.
For LTW you could get belts from A1S tokens from light farm.
A bit outdated now i know, but well ..
I dont know if anyone has mentioned it but i went from LTW 186-220+ using bacon and tinkers to desynth the expeditioner's gear they come out of bags from PotD i just bought almost all off the MB except the head piece it didnt work id imagine it would work for weaver as well
For 200-220, do hunts. Buy 3.0 AF gear from the vendor at the Forgotten Knight in Ishgard. With the rate that hunts are being done with 3 instances for each zone right now, this method is really really fast. You will also get poetics to buy 230 gear from Idyllshire with while doing this.
So apparently at one point they were going to call Dawn Serge "Steppe Serge"
https://bucket.bluegartr.com/097cbd0...361f0ea01b.JPG
cue "literally unplayable" meme
also even without coming from desynth its own description refers to itself as "undyed steppe serge"
hey all. i haven't really got into desynthesis before. i've been too busy at everything else, but finally ready to start this venture.
my biggest trades i use to craft are GSM/CRP/LTW/BSM/ARM.
is there any path i should take for my 3?
from my experience desynth is more tied into your battle class than your craft classes. if you don't tank or DRG you shouldn't desynth ARM, other jobs never get ARM gear to desynth without having to go out of their way to make/buy them. GSM and LTW are almost always good.
GSM, LTW and WVR are the easy ones for anyone that doesn't main Tank/DRG. you can always pick 2 easy ones and one hard one just because. if you Fish alot you can CUL.
I am trying to decide if I should go GSM or ARM for desynth. Which one would be more likely to give me best results item rarity wise? Just for a bit of extra gil from desynth?
any way to level CUL past 250 seems like the fishies dont work...
Fishes from the lochs work. Rock saltfish is a very high catch and still gives some desynth at 297 rating.
For anyone looking for help with BSM desynth, I found that the Replica Alligan weapons are good to bridge the gap between HW and SB gear if the materials are cheap. Went from 200 to 215 pretty quick, and could continue that way if I wanted.
Getting from 313 to 320 is a pain, everything that can be desynthed is at 100% and the i300 dungeon gear is only giving like .1-.2 skill gains, I expect it to drop to less than .1 at 315.
That's a prtty nice increase for something 100%.
I remember back in HW or ARR, when you were above 95-97%, a successful desynth would give you already 0.01 ...
Last levels were extremely painful to reach.
Anyway you're at 100% on the currently highest desynthesable gear, so no need to go higher, anything above is bonus for next tier (when we will be able to desynth verity gear// laskmi/susano ex gear).
I myself at 305 on all my 3 classes, after struggling a bit in the 230 range, and some gils investment, it is really profitable now.
I am stuck at ilvl 155 on my ARM and can't seem to be able to find anything to desynth to get me higher. Any suggestions?
