Well a rule of thumb I think everyone should take is to take things slowly and always be very upfront and honest with your intentions and what you are expecting. Also do not give out any info/photos/whatever you are not comfortable with. Even if you ARE...keep in mind this is a person you have not met. Be on the side of caution with everything you do. People can be nice one moment and 180 the next. Also there are people who will play the long con if they think it will pay off. There is a huge risk to online dating.
