Aw so dedicated to make this off topic AND go dig all my messages, I'm honored :)
And yes, as others have stated too I can give comms to people on their looks and glams, IF no one even talks, actually leaves a good impression I have every right to use it as I will. You're the one who says the commendation system is a joke, so doesn't matter how you use it right? Youre the one here making an absolute joke of yourself tho, when what we were discussing here was CHANGING the system, on how to give comms, and maybe adding different rules to them. My comment, that is not from this topic btw, is on the old system that everyone and their mom knows it doesn't work, so why you think it should be an argument here hmm?
Spam invitations to Novice Network was very annoying. Thanks to the experienced players, who warned me that is usually a lot of verbal garbage there. Honestly, I saw enough trash talking in Limsa Lominsa, where someone ERPed again and, it seems, the most stupid ERP makes more sense than Novice Network.
The situation may vary from server to server. But it is obvious that the mentor-novice system does not work correctly at many of its stages. I understand that initially this system had good goals, to encourage players to help each other and strengthen the community, but people, as always, tend to misuse.
I 'm not talking about ending the whole the system of mentor. But if a mentor directly or indirectly offends players, there must be some other leverage other than a report after which such toxic mentors go unpunished. It`s fair. For this reason, it`s very strange to hear cries - "don 't punish the good mentors" in this topic. If you don 't call players idiots and stupid noobs, what are you afraid of? : о
The only thing I've gotten out of this thread is that OP and their friend need to spend less time spamming with pseudo-intellectual fallacies and significantly more on self-critiquing how they approach/converse with others. When your confirmation bias reaches this level of extreme, the problem isn't with others; it's with you.
Regardless, playing a perpetual blame game doesn't accomplish anything. If you feel a mentor—or anyone for that matter—has crossed a line, then report them. All of the tools you need to solve the problem are there, and easily accessible to everyone.
