Best part of my day is waking up to some fresh Q.Qing.

Quick question: I'm a player on server Besaid. If I do nothing, and just keep my account active, will I end up on Balmung? Is that how it's working now?

also did you really thing sqex would have huge servers to allow as many people as they wanted on the same server?

I was saying it last night, the community is at fault here. Glad to see people agreeing with this sentiment now.

Also very happy someone finally quoted where SE clearly stated/predicted all that which is happening/happened.

The JP to ENG translation, predominantly the last part, says a lot. They expected the servers to be X when the application process began. QQ less and be happy with what you got.

Stuck on Balmung and looking to party. Good luck waiting for your friends from 2010/2011 coming back. I thank you guys for completely and utterly ruining the server merge. Now let's see if your QQ changes SE's stance on the subject.

I think this further satisifies my arguement that it is broken, because if they are saying "if people move out then it will change", then why is there any max X to begin with, if people been moving out already, even if someone fills that spot they left somewhere, whos filling that spot, and so on.

If you do nothing you're automatically in your new server.

So there was an english post in the other thread


it basicaly says

Lodestone page doesnt update instatly, itl update several times a day so when it updates thats when you may be able to choose a server again

Don't think its broken it basically says with some servers when they merge together some may be full @ that point from the merge, so the servers will only open up slots after someone moves from the server.

It does not validate your argument that the merge is broken. People asked for this merger type. SE went in knowing how many people they wanted per server. With the groupings they made, it was safe to assume, or rather, we as the players should have KNOWN, that the populations were ideal, according to SE. Thus, the servers would mostly be FULL or almost full and needing only slight additions. I think the community didn't realize how many people from Ridill wanted out, and that server filled up the others (remember Selbina was the highest populated server).

Not even the first day - the first MINUTE. I stayed up to be able to transfer to Balmung, and at 3:01 AM four servers already showed an X. The others went down quickly after.

I'm a new player, so I had no part in this option whining everyone seems to be talking about. Initially I hadn't realized Besaid was the unofficial RP server, so now unless the servers open up later (which seems unlikely), I'm stuck with a server I don't feel comfortable in...or forced to reroll on Besaid.

Also, for those quoting SE and claiming they spelled it out for us: "very soon after" is a bit of an understatement, don't you think?
