What is this new anti dps healer attitude?

When I heal or DPS I tend to stand off to the side so I can see everything that is going on. If I need heals or I need to do a group heal then I move myself to where the party is to do it. It's just easier for me as I get tunnel vision too easily otherwise with all of the things going on. It hasn't hurt my ability to raid Savage type content over the years so maybe I just do it in a way that doesn't hinder the party

I am not trying to offend you, but this mindset is exactly the problem of English discussion forum where all good ideas are scattered around. By checking Japanese forum, their player base always post under one discussion thread that ongoing since 2015 and they got more community manger response.

They do get community manager response, because SE is Japan company, the international part of SE doesnt exist.
If it does i guess its 2 people in the middle of taiga in Siberia too busy fighting bears.

You're not offending me at all, actually I think you misunderstand. Objectively, it's a necro post, but instead of asking people to stop posting like some users do when this happen, I'd like the debate to continue. I, for instance, have nothing to add to what others have said already.

If a WHM is ripping aggro from a DRK that's using Unleash (which has a ridiculously high enmity modifier tacked on to it to make up for the garbage damage it does since SB launched), then the DRK is just bad. I don't tank often, but I can hold aggro with Unleash spam alone OUTSIDE OF GRIT.

Holy spam against a pack of mobs will always out-damage Unleash/AD spam. My Holy spams have reached almost 10,000 DPS between Holy, Aero III, and Assize. In Lost Canals, I was hitting 15,000+ on packs of mobs that released all at once. A DRK isn't bursting that high. And unless they are very poorly managing their MP, they won't bottom out on it. Except for extremely large pulls, it's no longer prudent to DA+AD spam more than 2~3 times because of the nerf to BP. You can spam more once you get Quietus at level 64, but you still won't beat a WHM's Holy burst.

It doesn't kill DRKs to hold BP for 3 GCDs, since that's when Holy's stun stops having an effect of mobs. Holy spam has always been more potent than DRK AOE, even in HW.

If you're pulling 10 mobs and refusing to use cooldowns, then yes. But that's the fault of the tank. Not the healer.

Unless you are doing a metric crapton of raising or failing to use Lucid/other MP regeneration abilities prudently, it is nigh impossible to run out of MP in this game. I'm a firm advocate of everyone should contribute. Critical damage is so infrequent/scripted, and Healing is so potent in this game, that healers who only want to heal spend 80% of their time doing nothing. One Cure II on my WHM can restore 16,000 HP if it doesn't Crit; Crits are 25,000 or more (closer to 30,000 on a WAR in Defiance). I can give a tank a 10k HoT on AST with the right combination of skills and extend it for 30 seconds, effectively not having to touch them outside of a spot heal in large pulls. There's no need for a healer to "heal only" in this game when their healing spells are so OP.

Been doing this for two years and never had a problem. Stun immunity kicks in long before DRK has any MP issues. Regardless, a WHM isn't pulling off a DRK with Holy. The modifier on Unleash's enmity generation is enormous.
