They should add all black magic abilities to the Summoner with base white magic like cure ensua. Keep the Primal Egi's reduce the cd for enkindle to 150 sec and double it's attack power and add Elder Summon to summon the actual primal for 30sec it does it's own thing and when the timer is up it hits it's signature attack the then leaves with a 5min cd.

Also when activating enkindle sometimes the enemy dies before it goes off and the skill still gets used without the egi performing the attack. A suggestion to fix this is have the skill only get used when the pet performs the action. -

Some kind of a trait that turns any spell speed on gear into piety for smn only. Would be the perfect fix for a job with MP issues in the latest content at the moment and the job has never benefitted from spell speed.
I'm also one of these people, SMN has issues right now but it has nothing to do with what people like Lancet are asking for. SMN is now not only handling a very poor itemization and kind of left behind BLM when it come to a competitive DPS point of view, the community staff still continue to ignore us :) that's lame.
The most iconic job of any Final Fantasy is having bad times in FFXIV and probably just because of the share with arcanist and sch, how sad. -

I would like to change the name of the summoner class to Witch, and make a new summoner based on a lot of opinions I've read on the forums.
I like how summoner works right now, but I feel like it would be better making a new class called summoner and making it more about it's summons than dots. -

The Summoner in Final Fantasy XI was a nerfed White Mage and 4th rate healer. The Summoner in this game is a poor man's Black Mage and nerf DPS.
SE to The Most Iconic Job in Final Fantasy in history turned it into Black Mage left overs. The problem is right now we have an Arcanist with Summoner as the Sub Job and Scholar with Arcanist as a Sub Job. In order to correctly translate the Summoner into Final Fantasy MMOs SE should base them around Summoning Magic and Pets with another Mage DPS as a sub job.
