The reason I am not satisfied with easy stuff is quite simple - it's boring.
A game is not a game if you cannot lose. That's all there is to it.

You appear to have misunderstood that. The "Fun" part was directed at "Being the first to clear content", not the "Leave friends behind". An understandable miscommunication but all together one I hope i have cleared.

Yes, it's different. If I am managing a static, it means I am trying to make other 7 people satisfied, not only myself. Managing a static is often bothersome, tiresome and frustrating. If i were in search of "personal gain / glory" I would have thrown in the towel ages ago.

Well atleast Turn 8 you can still got one shot if you don't know how to handle Ballistic Missle Mechanic. So I see most people will still be on Turn 8 for awhile. Turn 9, even with this Echo buff it will be like Turn 5 where only skills players be able to passed.

Turn 6 and Turn 7 However got a big nerf. It was already doable before, now with echo buff and instant shot mechanic is gone, pretty much even doable in Duty Finder.

But you can never really lose, no matter how much you die, no matter how many times you fail you can never "lose" the game. You just have to retry as many times as it takes you to "win".

The ones who do that are just outright stupid. Why? Because we all know World of Darkness is gonna have the Ironworks upgrade items when we get there anyway.

And your answer to that question can be used for the original question! Many people do find the tediousness of finding a group and making sure everyone knows what to do and spending hours on end to make failed attempts is something they'd say is boring! :)
