I want to give love, boy do I give a ton of it. I never ever want to take it and not give it back, I can assure you that is incredibly impossible for me to do. - I like myself for the most part, but just some things I don't like, which are hard to change, hardwired.
- I don't do well when competing with others for someone's attention, this is due to pressure in itself invoking discouragement, I will feel like I just don't have what it takes, even if it just might be that I do. I wont see that, and give up.
- Not sure what you expect me to say about sex. I've gotten plenty of that.
- Women are not sex objects to me. There is a long standing reason why I play female characters and it is strongly related to how I perceive women and looks are often based on my mothers'.
- I know when to back off. Case in point, one of them I talked to here, who went distant after I told them I was a male, I apologized once they stopped talking and left. 3rd one, well that one actually hurt because we talked for quite awhile, but then the competition came in and I lost. There was no big stupid fight, or 'pressuring to be with me', etc, I don't do that BS. I just go.
I stated twice in my profile that it doesn't have to be serious, because I meant it.
Unfortunately, someone took interest before I removed it my profile, probably saw what I wrote in its place and probably wants nothing to do with me now, I don't know, that's up to her.
I gave into anger, thought I was gonna be ignored because my profile was very specific, and yadda, all the stuff I said in that quote is exactly what I felt, and yeah I'm not a nice poster here because I keep having to counter all the ridiculous passive aggressiveness that runs rampant here, but in actuality I'm a very nice, understanding person. Just because girls get flooded with contacts by lots of guys doesn't mean they're actually "competition". It's gunna sound harsh but a lot of people just don't know how to be themselves and try to play it safe to the point of being absolutely boring or hardly talkative. Case in point, my partner almost didn't contact me because my profile left a lot to be desired (looked generic as hell), and I almost didn't respond to him when he contacted me because I was pretty over the weirdos at that point.

To be honest I just look at this thread for cute characters. I found my SO 2 years ago. You really have to put yourself out there. I mean doing here is also great but perhaps this alone isn't enough. I never expected my SO to be in xiv, we were fortunate to meet eachother and it all started with doing an instance together (as strangers) we got along from there.. fast forward 2 years we've seen eachother more than 4-5 times and visited eachother for more than 8 months. Probably irrelevant. My point is you could be fortunate to meet someone by engaging. Instances are good examples or even fcs. Friends are also good to have so don't neglect anyone !

Do you care if the player in real life is not the same gender as their character?
I love making friends of all genders (or lack of thereof) but i do feel the most comfortable around girls, as they tend to be much softer, and soft is my life.

Main class?:
Paladin, but i also play Gunbreaker to enjoy a bit of tanking variety!
Dislikes:
I generally dislike all things dramatic and hurtful, lies, betrayals and ghosting.
Passive-aggressiveness is a quick one way ticket to my block list.
I am a bit delicate so i enjoy the company of gentle and kind souls.
Goals for the game:
Keeping up with the story, dressing up in adorable costumes, collecting glamours and pictures, and attempting to keep up with the welfare gear and LFG dungeons&trials.
Goals for the marriage union:
I would only marry someone i grew close to, i can trust, and with whom i want to spend a lot of my free time sharing moments with.
It does not have to necessarily transcend the game, but i refuse to marry just for the sake of the items and a shallow friendship.

I am posting in this thread mostly with the hope to make new friends both in and out of FFXIV and marriage is not my primary concern, although it would be cute >/w/<
