And just when I was about to give up on these darn things, they end up dropping with a CUSyC. They must have messed with the drop rate, but it's still possible with our old setups. I'm satisfied.

Hi just got back to the game and my sub still using shark component which is the best setup for lvl 50 sub now any suggestion for getting stuff back the duration does not matter since i am casually playing ...

Pure Titanium is the new Kamacite. You need 9 Pure Titanium Plates (27 ore) for every single modified part (according to Garlandtools)

I've taken over sub management for the FC so I'm new to (some of) this. How do we get the plans for Syldra components? They aren't on the FC crafting list. I suppose the big drafting board plays into this?

"Submersible Prototype V" on the drafting board unlocks the Syldra recipes.

Yes, you unlock the plans from that drafting board. It just lists the plans by number, though. I believe Syldra is "submersible prototype V". Once you buy the plans there, the components will be added to your FC crafting list.

If you want to be self sufficient, the first set of plans (shark components for submersibles or bronco components for airships) are purchasable for a few regular crafting mats. Later ones require materials only available as items you can bring back from voyages. So you start by making a shark submarine, and use it to gather materials for unlocking the next set of plans, and so on.

Since you took over management of them after someone else started it, what's next depends on what you already have available.

Got some more subs in from S. Zozonan today, and the only unreported thing they found was Stiperstone:

I'm running a real hodgepodge of builds right now so I have some preliminary data on stats:

A Favor of 140 is able to get two hits at both S. Zozo and Windwalker, while a Favor of 115 got only one hit at S. Zozo. If anyone can narrow this down further, speak up!

I discovered that a Surveillance of 120 and below failed to even get me a weather report from S. Zozo, which I'd never seen before. A Surveillance of 135 and up got a weather report. At the moment my CUYC subs are doing the best job of scouting and data gathering as they have Surveillance of 155 and Favor of 140, although the low retrieval probably means it's going to take a lot of runs for me to get all the cocobolo lumber I need.

First sub to be checked after patch. Stone Temple and Sunken Vault. New nautical map discovered from Sunken Vault. South Isle of Zozonan discovered in the Sea of Ash.

South Isle of Zozonan drops obtained so far have been: Various Tier 6 materia, Shards, Stiperstone, Mudstone, Truegold Sand, Hardsilver Sand & Cloudsbreath. No pictures taken, however im sure others will be able to provide confirmation.

Edit: Sub configuration was cwcc.

Edit: Wreckage of the Windwalker Sector has proven to be 100% discovery rate with 7 seperate Fc's using the configuration of cwcc and in each case the first submarine to return had discovered said sector. Discovery rate may vary based on submarine configuration however.

My subs found two new sectors off of North Zozo, called, confusingly, "Sea of Ash 1" and "Sea of Ash 2". (So the Zone itself is "Sea of Ash" then we also have a couple sectors called that.)

The most important thing to note here is that all of these subs were CUYC builds with 140 favor. This was enough to get a double hit on Windwalker but NOT ENOUGH to get a double hit on North Zozo. We're going to have to be building for higher favor going forward if we want a double hit.

Since all the Surv/Ret/Spd/Rng are fixed to total 105 on the new parts, but the favor can vary and is unrestricted, it makes sense to only pick parts that have higher favor, all else being equal. As such, two builds stand out (stats listed omit rank bonuses):

By coincidence or fate, these are the two most popular builds pre-5.05 as well. I'm leaning toward CUSyC myself because the rank bonuses seem to have a lot of retrieval so this build's low retrieval is mitigated somewhat. For reference, the new highest possible surveillance is 190 and highest possible favor is 170. If it's absolutely necessary to hit 170+ surveillance for some rare drops, you can swap in Unkiu-M Bow to get to 185 surv at the cost of a lot of range or Coela-M Bow to get to 190 surv at the cost of 35 favor.

Sorry but your English is unclear. What are you talking about?

If you add up the Surveillance, Retrieval, Speed, and Range stats for each of the new sub parts, it will equal 105 points. However, the Favor stat is unrestricted by this limitation, i.e., some parts have more favor, some less, such that the sum total amount of stats on each part are different if you include Favor. Therefore, it makes sense to prefer parts that have a lot of favor since that would make your sub's overall stat total better.

It might actually be a good idea to start a new thread for Shadowbringers information. You may not be aware but there is actually an image limit to how many images you can have in a single post. With how full the first page already is with information, it's possible that you might run into that image cap and then you won't be able to update the first page anymore.

Just a thought.

Or maybe a discord? Could have separate sections for builds so you don't have to wade through info to find them, maps, loot, discussion, etc. Just a thought :)

The Material Supplier in the housing districts (not the one you can add to the FC house). There's a separate menu option for the parts exchange.
