Eh, that's a risk you take when you're lazy, half asleep, and just want to get it done.

Yep, I have exploited that lazy human nature to reasonable success too.

Feet: Anemos Boots (Snow White dye)

100 points for this week:
https://www2.pic-upload.de/thumb/353...21-05-2018.jpg
Weapon: Any colorable weapon -> General-purpose Metallic Gold Dye
Head: Angler's Hat -> Charcoal Grey Dye
Body: Moonfire Vest for men / Moonfire Halter for women -> Nophica Green Dye
Hands: Fieldkeep's Corsage -> Nophica Green Dye
Legs: Any colorable legs -> Wine Red Dye
Feets: Thavnairian Babouches -> Void Blue Dye
Ring: Master Botanist's Ring
Well, I just found out that if you get DCed after Masked Rose judges your outfit, but before getting your reward, he will ask where you went since you disappeared so quickly, and then proceed to give the rest of your winnings.
Good to know! Glad you didn’t get cheated out of an attempt
Re. reselling cheap items expensively on the marketboard, it boggles my mind how high things are priced - and that people actually pay it. 40-gil dyes go for thousands, and on one of my servers someone is selling the Emperor’s New gear for 10,000 a piece. (Admittedly that gear is harder to get access to than it should be, as it only unlocks through the ‘learn to craft prisms’ quest and not just the initial unlocking of glamours, but still.)
got 84 as WHM using BiS dyes, with only 3 items as gold:
Head: Angler's Hat (Norlaise, the Pillars)
Body: Striped Southern Seas Swimsuit (previous event)
Hands: Coronal Wristband (this is where I dropped some gil)
Feet: Peisteskin Crakows of Gathering (Norlaise, the Pillars--3 stars because of dye)
Ring: I used last FR's Master Conjurer's and got only 1 star
83 for me with
Anglers Hat - BiS Dye
Striped Southern Sea's Vest - BiS Dye
Any Dyable Hands - BiS Dye
Any Dyable Legs - Any Red Dye
Marid Leather Babouches - Any Blue Dye
Master Botanists Ring
All the dyes are cheap vendor dyes. Very cheap week if you have the Ring and Vest.
Greetings, Glamour Enthusiasts!
I'm popping in to offer some clarification on information about The Fashion Report.
In a recent interview, Yoshida mentioned that as of Patch 4.3, you'll be able to reach 100 points in The Fashion report by wearing the correct themed gear without having to dye it.
However, it's worth noting that if you can't acquire all of the exact pieces needed for 100 points, dyeing your gear the correct color will still boost your score, so please feel free to continue to make use of dyes as you see fit!
We hope this helps everyone reach their goals and flaunt their high fashion scores :)
Thank you for the update. :)
I'd say that should be a well appreciated change, especially for players that did not have the appropriate jobs unlocked/leveled to equip the entire theme. And probably also for the players that often found the color choices a bit garish, lol.
I wonder it it will still have a 'correct dye' or if all dyes provide the same bonus to the score now...
100 points for this week:
https://www2.pic-upload.de/thumb/353...28-05-2018.jpg
Head: Steel Goggles
Body: Sky Pirate's Jacket of Striking
Hands: Griffin Leather Bracers of Striking
Legs: High Allagan Trousers of Striking or Picaroon's Trousers of Striking
With this 4 Items you don't need a Dye for 100 points.
95 points
I went crazy and tried out a non-class specific outfit. No dyeing to get 95.
https://i.imgur.com/0dXTzUS.png
Weapon: Midnight Blue dye (wrong dye, just happens to be there)
Head: Steel Goggles, NPC-bought, midnight blue default
Body: Archaeoskin Jacket of Crafting, NPC-bought, undyed
Gloves: Hempen Bracers, NPC-bought, Chestnut Brown Dye default
Pants: Hempen Trousers, NPC-bought, Desert Yellow Dye default
Someone should try other bracers as well, such as Cotton/Woolen/Felt Bracers to see if they give gold. Hempen is only 3-star.
Make this 100 points by dyeing each piece for 5 additional points (doesn't have to be BiS just have to be correct family)
Dyes: Main - red (+1), Head - blue (came default), Body - Snow White (BiS +2), Hands - Black (+1), Legs - Black (+1)

My experiments
If you have a bard, you can replace hands with Serpentskin Bracers of Aiming or Kirimu Bracers for easier 100 points w/o many dyes.
From the initial testing done by the reddit users who find the results for each week, it looks like there's still a correct color family but no longer a specific correct dye within that color family (so any blue if a blue dye is needed will yield the same point bonus). I'm not certain they've come to any final conclusions yet, though.
It might take another week for them to be certain how the Fashion Report scoring is now working. Certainly it's a relief that dyes can still be used to boost scores when you're missing all the "correct" items.
Its really easy now. I got 82 just with a Mythrite Goggles of Crafting and Archaeoskin Jackcoat of Crafting, which I just bought off the vendor in the Jeweled Crozier
I got gold with an undyed Gambler's Trousers. Literally without even trying (those are a part of my normal outfit), I hit 78.
With only the Steel Goggles and Sky Pirate Jacket of Striking I got 84. I didn't dye anything special. The chest piece and legs were already Ink Blue. Everything else was undyed. It's way easier now. It looks like you only need 2 pieces to get passed 80.
I just tried out stuff till i got 100 poinst zero effort lol

Wait....
You can get 100 points with 4 empty accessory slots?
No, empty slots still count against you. He's using the invisible glamours to hide the appearance of what's equipped. If the slots were truly empty, there would be no square border around the slot icon.
Example (from when I screwed up on an alt and forgot her default FR set included jewelry she no longer had)
https://i.imgur.com/URFXXIk.png
It seems the bare minimum now is 68, for having something equipped in every slot, no dyes. I don't even think I need to try for the gear anymore, if I just dye a few pieces to hit 80.
Cheapest I found for this week:
Brightlily Corsage
Dhalmelskin Vest
Durium Chaplets/False Nails
Almost any Skirt.
Pick any 2 for 80 score. Pick all 4 for 100. The Vest and Chaplets can be bought from vendors, about 15k each. Any Chaplet's will work though.
Claws of the Beast also work for the hand slot.

Do we have any idea what the ideal dye colors are?
Edit: After some testing, got 2 stars with bone white dye on the head piece. ( Since it's in the yellow dye sections, does that technically count as a yellow dye, despite the name saying white?)
Forager's Vest also works for the shirt.
And yes, "bone white" counts as a yellow.
My wife and I really dislike the Fashion Report now. It’s boring and no fun at all now. I was totally good with them getting rid of the expensive dyes, but making it so brain dead easy is just stupid. The title is completely worthless now. It was fun tracking down the right pieces and crafting pieces I normally wouldn’t craft. Getting 80 wasn’t difficult, but required some effort. Getting a 100 only had to be done once and then just for fun after that. If you had more classes leveled, you were rewarded, which is how it should be. You could still get an 80 if you didn’t have the BiS class. I hate doing it now. No fun at all. MGP is the only reason I’m still doing it. The more they dumb things down and listen to all the people who play very little but feel entitled to all the rewards, the closer they come to driving me away. Rewards need to be meaningful and there needs to be challenge. All this everyone’s a winner crap can suck it.
The mgp is great but I figured they would add some more glam pieces. I thought something else would unlock last week from the boutique but there was nothing new :(
I'd like to hope that perhaps by lifting some restrictions, it may allow them to expand on the feature in the future. More options that can fit a theme, rather than being stuck with one BiS and similar items being worthless.
I'm hoping they will spice it up with making it require more (but easier to get) items. Like some weeks taking a full set of clothes and jewelry. Maybe have some items only require a certain dye, rather than an specific item itself. Mix and match all the things they have going for it now.
While I don't 100% agree with the changes, I understand them. I play the game a lot, but don't have every job leveled into the ranges to get all the BiS gear, and honestly, there are some jobs I don't want to play, because they just are not fun to me the few times I tried them. People shouldn't have to force themselves into a time sink, just to play a minigame at the Golden Saucer.
That being said, I feel like they should still have something with that high challenge, maybe two tiers of the Fashion Report, a "starter fashionista" or "expert fashionista", and you can only do one of them per week, with the usual 4 attempts.
100 score. No dyes used.
Yellow Daisy Corsage
Rainbow Bolero of Striking (around 14k gill from the vendor in Ishgard. Lv50 DoW)
False Nails
Shire Pankratiast's Hose
Have non-Emperor's New ___ items in all the other slots(First try I had my MNK weapons glammed with the invisible fists and got 99. Switched to non-glammed fists and got my 100)
Got 100 Score with this:
White Daisy Corsage
Cashmere Poncho
Claws of the Beast
Shire Preceptor's Hose
Also no Dye used.
Did that and got only 99 in the end, so there must be something more. According to https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...82018_week_19/ it should be better to go for cashmere or ramie body rather than striking one if you want a 100.
Any bolero type body probably works. I got 100 using the level 50 arachne one (undyed.)
