New Emotes you would like to see?

I would love it if players could /carry each other around. I want to ride on my friends' shoulders! I know the dev team have spoken before about how emotes need to be available to everyone, and the idea of lalas carrying around roes was problematic to them. But we have carried heavy boxes in the MSQ & tribe quests, and bulky stuffed animals in the firmament. Talls could just hug their knees while we carry them over our heads, using that existing animation. (Additionally, talls carrying other talls could use the same pre-existing animation.) Please, I have wanted to ride on people's shoulders ever since I first saw Raubahn & Nanamo in ARR, I'm begging you!

Emotes that you can use while walking such as a cartwheel emote where you can walk in a direction while doing it or a drunk walk etc.

I'm a simple chap.

I'd just like to be able to sleep on the ground (not play dead with my bum in the air!) and eat a few more things.

A drunken dance would also be useful.

I would love a /WTF emote!

I'd really like a /walk, that changes your walking animation.

Can have cutesey walks, wounded walks, swagger walks, "I need to piss" walks, etc.

this one's in game already technically, but i just noticed it - the (viera?) pose for sitting on an ahriman, i would like to have this as one of the ways i can do a sits on the ground

I dont know if this is considered emote related but i would love to see more default standing animations. there are only like 5 or 6 so it would be nice to get some more, same with sitting animations it would be fun to get a bit more so people could express there personalities a bit better through the basic animations :]

Hmh, there's quite a lot of animation-related stuff I'd like to see.

For old animations, I'd like to see the job idle poses become cross-gender. (example: the DRK sword over the shoulder idle for female)

I'd also like to have the ability to sit on ledges, walls and other outdoors elevated stuff similarly to how you would on a chair, just... in a random spot. Same for lying anywhere in the outdoors.

For actual emotes, I'd like to see the Triple Triad card holding animation become one, it basically already exists whenever you start up triple triad.. Also, I'd really like an /eatburger emote before Endwalker ends. Make it like the maligned/infamous burger eating scene. Also, not one I need but one I can see happening is a /tiphat emote (inspired by you-know-who), since we already have a /spectacles emote.

Give us Emet's wave please. I want to be able to wave goodbye to my friends... with sass!

I want an emote where I can eat pizza.

An emote that when the player checks their map- Our character actually pulls out a map & looks at it

or a /checkmap emote that people can macro & it would pull up their map as they do the emote

interactive emotes like actually hugging or holding hands or carrying another player would be cute
or wrestling another player like the au'ra on the dawn throne in azim steppe

and MORE IDLE POSES
and also an option to change the default idle pose straight-up????? the sole reason i cant stand playing a female highlander is her default idle stance
even if i change the idle pose to one and have it immediately move to it upon not running, when talking to someone or in a cutscene, she still stands like that. that awful pose. that horrible. awful. ick.

some of the idle poses locked to races are really cute and would be nice to have on other races uwu instead of the ones that are kinda obnoxious power stancing ehhhh

more sits, maybe we can have a lil window where we select our pose instead of having to /cpose cycle through them all. same with the idle stance.
once again i desire the pose that my female viera on the ahriman mount makes but on the ground!!!

maybe an actual sleeping pose. or something. like perpetual poses lol

I'd like for an sleeping pose. Sprawling out with play dead doesn't look comfortable.

Casual pose emotes, like sit and lean.
It's unfortunate they won't do anything involving lying down, but there's plenty of squatting or kneeling positions that could be comfortably used.

I want a big sign we pull out of our imaginary pocket one saying "Perverts this way (exit door)"

I'd love interactive emotes such as giving someone else a piggyback, or princess carrying them :) simple ones such as hugging and cheek kissing would be nice too.

I would like an extension of the /read emote that allows us to read while seated on the floor and possibly also while lying down with /doze in the places where we can use it.

Possibly in combination with my other suggestion above, a second emote for lying on designated beds that is not a sleeping pose, but awake and relaxing.

I've been really wanting more interactive emotes for players to use with one another. A long time back I proposed certain emotes like a proper kiss, embrace, and piggyback/bridal carry emote be obtainable as a potential anniversary reward for EB partners who actually stick it out, rather than marry for the immediate mount reward and dip out afterwards. I'm HOPING SE will give a bridal style carry emote after FINALLY seeing it in game during a specific Shadowbringers cutscene (not spoiling it in case some people don't know).

Other emotes I wanna see:
- Sneezing
- Potion mixing (like holding a vial(s) and swirling it)
- Sketching
- Writing on notepad (like for waiters/waitresses)
- Waterballoon throw emote (similar to the snowball)
- Cooking (ie: chopping with knife/ holding pan while NOT kneeling on ground)
- Special emote depending on the active minion out.(ex: holding your arm out for the hunting hawk/hand out for the smaller birds to sit on finger)
- Tataru's cute curtsey

I wanna be able to put people into a headlock. Maybe give them a wedgie.

Still want a smoke pipe emote.

Another thing I'd like to see is more /cpose options for races when standing/sitting/sleeping. As a female au'ra, our sleep poses are kind of weird and unrealistic. I'm sure others of different races might agree as well.

I just want all (yes all) of our current emotes to loop/be continuous.

Agreed, there are plenty emotes that just make sense to loop

The only emotes I've ever use are those required by quests, and I already have those.

Interactable emotes, kinda like the taunts in TF2
Whereas in TF2 it worked by just taunting while facing someone who's doing something for a high five or a conga line, there ought to be something similar like a right click.
I just wanna do a kazotsky kick line, and lalihop doesn't cut it for me

More magic tricks! We already, er China... (>_<) already has the dove in the hat trick. How about pulling flowers out of your sleeves or a card trick? How about the rope trick where the rope just hangs in air and you climb it? How about pulling a coin out of someone's ear?

There is fertile ground to be exploited here.

I want the 'eat pizza' emote :(

Static = A position that will not end unless a player moves their character or emote differently. (Like /lean)

- Static juggling emote.
- Handing a flower to someone emote.
- Reaction emote when a player pets or dance to their company chocobo.
- Static sleep emote when sitting or standing.
- Sneeze emote.
- Static reading a book while sitting down. (Perhaps a static option for standing too.)
- Ringing a hand bell emote.
- Scratching behind the head emote. (Nervous response)
- Sipping coffee emote.

I want a throwing Slipper Emote. It should show how you grab a Slipper, Shoe, Boot whatever and throw it at someone.

Others have already mentioned it but I’d love some more weapon emotes.

Sauna bath
It's already existing as an NPC gesture so it shouldn't be hard to add.

Just a smoking emote.
