Fantasia or Not Help people choose!

Currently I am using this:

I like your current self better....BUT i do think the coloring on the possible change is prettier. I just think the grey skin looks so nice with dark Xeala scales.

Like I just posed I tried a fantasia but it seems like the skin color is probably too dark because it looks like this without artificial lighting:

or if I am paying 10 dollars try something new (I love Au Ra's but there are so many clipping hiding issues because of their horns)

I'm happy in my petite Hyuran Midlander body. I don't want a tail or cat ears or horns. I'm sure I'd be adorable as a miquote though.

@Rixas - I think the skin you have now is fine! The gray really compliments your overall look. But either tone looks great with your character. As a personal preference, I'd vote to stay Au Ra. ^_^

@Sylvina - Good on you! It all comes back to our personal preferences.
While I liked my hyur for similar reasons, I had wanted to be Au Ra for the feminine emotes and faces options since the beginning of the game. Once I got the expansion, it was only a matter of when I'd make the switch.

Also, thanks to everyone here who helped me rationalize that decision. ^_^

I'm very happy with the way my character looks now. Her sweet personality is much more clear, and her hairstyle doesn't clip through the cleric robes.

Hmm... they all look nice. Personally, I prefer the purple color. The hairstyle itself would depend on what kind of image you want for your character. The first looks more prim, proper, and groomed, while the second looks a little more disheveled and casual but still commanding... maybe even a little edgy. Heck, you could probably alternate between the two depending on what you're doing in-game. They both look great!

It was hard to choose, but some friends convinced me the purple bottom one. I love both hair styles. >.<

I play a Mi'qote (male), but I like the female Au Ra way more then the female Mi'qote and I like your current character more, even tough the lighting of it is not the best.

And i need to change my own hair color, but I don't know to what...

first of all: cookies and cacoa for all! :D

i hope this thread is still active. i'm a bit lost.. i was playing a Lalafell since Heavensward now and all in my fc know me as a rude and grumpy Lala. An reputation i like tbh.
On the other side - the last summer event showed me again: all the nice glamour just looks awful on a Lala.
So i'm considering to change.

My votes with the Midlander I feel like she's more unique!

I really like your au ru but I’m a bit biased. I’d say make an alt and walk around with it a bit. Fantasias are on sale now so it might be a good time to try it ;)

Thank you! These are exactly my concerns.. would i get the Aura to look similiar fiercy?
i didn't play the alt long enough to try out everything with glamour and aesthetican. But i really dont want another boring beauty in the ffxiv-mass of beauties..
Maybe it would be the easiest to try it out for maybe a week and see what i can do. If i like it i stay the Aura.. but as i know myself i would miss my grumpy Lala x)

That's why I could never reconcile myself with playing a female Au Ra; even if you manage to make a fiercer looking toon with character creation options and glamour, the animations just completely ruin the effect. They are far too prim and dainty, which I could see suiting most Raen but for me was always really odd on a more tribal Xaela.

(I vote lala as well.)

Another vote for Lala from me. Xaela with face 4 is more arrogant then fierce and when some animations hits...well...stick with Lala. Trust me :)

This is a hard one. That is my preferred miqo'te face, and clan. I'd probably say the miqo'te is more unique out of these two, but I do prefer the au ra overall.
