To leave some space to the camera, if I'd have to guess.

PLEASE give us an option for removing all the beams in the walls. It's incredibly annoying to have big spaces behind fireplaces or bookcases.
More kinds of trees for outside (like pine trees, snow covered trees, withered etc)
Dyeable partitions. You can dye the mahogany partition but none of the others.
Stackable crates (big ones) like the NPCs have. More warehouse-type stuff for those who want to make their basement look like a workshop/warehouse.
Bigger rugs like the Large Woven Rug since it eats up a lot of slots if you don't want a huge amount of open floor.
Table sets like the Riviera Garden Table Set for inside. Setting up tables and chairs eats up a lot of slots, as does food. Long straight counters would be a nice addition as well for those of us with bar sections.
More miniatures like the Odin and Magitek ones we already have. Airships miniatures, different monsters, bosses, houses, landmarks etc.
Able to change the inside layout to Glade/Oasis/Riviera. Why lock us into one style when most have changed the outside look already? There's no reason to do it.
I'd like to see textures for the grass surrounding the outside of our houses. It's noticably different, for example, in Lavender Beds than it is Mist. Turfs are a thing, so it would be nice to have a little more variety.
The ability to move my room in an FC to another slot without having to abandon the room itself, and the ability to buy multiple rooms in an FC on a single character - mind, both of these come from a role-player, and my FC is small (which means there's probably no chance of ever hitting the maximum members), and many of us 'donate' our room for company use... it'd just be nice to have the option of purchasing a few without needing to level an alt or eight on a server where alts are nearly (not completely, but nearly) an impossibility and the potential for individual housing is laughably so slim you'd probably have a better chance getting an alt on the server than seeing a free house.
At the very least, give us Oasis and Glade doors! Right now only Mist residents can use doors that don't clash with their walls/pillars.
It would be ideal to get Chameleon Partitions and Doors, but if that isn't possible, it should be easy enough to provide us with doors to match the two other default walls.
Please give us: The weather NPCs in the yards as an option, The NPCs selling Lures and Tackle for Fishing in the house, The aesthetician bell.
Dy-able Partitions and Partitions that have the same skins as the wall paper in the house, Partitions with windows, Half Partisans that are higher walled.
Extra tall Royal Partitions would be nice. I like the design of them but they don't have a tall ceiling reaching option.
I'd like to see a version of the Mahogany Partition Door to match every housing type (Glade/Oasis/Riviera).
It's your only option if you want a ceiling height partition with a door, but the kind of wood it's made out of doesn't match our houses at all - it ends up sticking out like a sore thumb.
I didnt went through the whole thread so see if it was mentioned already (sorry in advance^^') but me and a friend were talking about the minigames in the GS recently (all those little automats were you can play a game for a hand full of gil) and since we're lacking furniture to interact with/give the house some purpose I thought those (or something similar) in our homes would be great! So: Some machines, that will allow you to play a little game, please!
I would love to see more housing decor with a "doma" theme, like roofing styles for example, it could be oriental-esque and curve at the corners, have far eastern dragons carved in, those sorts of things. And perhaps more far eastern artwork to hang on our walls. It is wonderful that they added in tatami mats and sakura trees but it would be amazing to have an entire ninja compound going~ hoping they add the dojo theme from the ninja guild to the sheet music available for our music changer decoration. just a thought.
Also katana and armor sets like those from ffxi (sort of guessing that those will be introduced when/if samurai is though)
Also it would be nice to be able to change the door/window style in personal rooms.. a bright plain door in an otherwise very ornate room stands out in a bad way.
It is rather greedy of me as these are all things i want personally for my au ra ninja but.. ideas!
What I would wish for is a room-high window front like in the inn rooms. My personal downside with the interior of the housing is the tiny windows they have while we could have "natural" light flooding through a huge window like in the inn room. It's already in the game too so I think it should be easy to add to housing, no? Don't have to be able to actually see what's outisde, just the effect it gives in the inn...I love that a lot! Imagine how pretty and inviting this would look with a couch, a table, and teaset arranged in front of that. Add a plant and a bookstack. Can we have that please :3 (If not because idk why, maybe just larger windows so it let's the sun shine in like the new house skins)
Not sure if its posted already I just read they might be upping the amount of indoor furniture (YEY). However I would love it the amount outdoor furniture would be upped as well I am already hitting max amount of things placed and 2/3 of my garden is still empty and this is on a small plot >_>.
Those trees, rocks and small items here and there tend to add up fast :P Was aiming for a nice nature like garden >_>
I just got my first house! \o/ xD
Quick question, am I able to have a Riviera external wall even though I am in the Goblet? no biggie if not, but it would be a great feature to be able to do this, if it isn't already available to be done. :)
Grats Viu! Sadly though you can't have other areas' housing skins. Only those that are available from the menu you can open directly on your plot. It says it in the description of the item too for which area they are useable. You can use moogle skin or one of the crafters' skins anywhere though! Would be nice if that was possible, I do like the roof of goblet houses (if only there were stairs and you could put items there, I could have a beach house roof party! One may dream right?!)
This would be an excellent thing for a housing glamour. The company workshops would be busy like crazy to produce these. They also need to either add in a sakura tree alchemy recipe or they need to create a vendor for all the old seasonal housing items because we can't buy them from the calamity vendor like we do the seasonal gear and they don't sell furnishings in the mog store. I would absolutely loves to have this theme for my house. They should also come up with more doman themed interior designs such as the shoji screen walls, the lanterns, wall hangings and more furniture all together. Maybe for the exterior we could have a Torii gate at the entrance. They created the housing glamours and should really take advantage of the workshop's potential. There are a crazy amount of possibilities if they used the workshop as a way to open up new housing designs, landscapes, interiors etc. Right now I have tons of airship mats and nothing to spend it on. I'd love a steady supply of new recipes to be released so I have something to use the mats on. Its also really nice that the glamours are tradeable so we can sell or give them away. Nothing like having your FC work together to help glamour a member's house or to make gil for the whole FC.

On these items descriptions, you will either read "to use exclusively" and "to complement". The first group is restricted to their respective neighbourhoods, while the second one is just made in their style, but can be applied anywhere.
As a rule of thumb, Outer walls, roofs and fences are usually restricted, while awnings chimneys and placards are not.
Actually, I had a thought. If someone else mentioned this, please forgive me, there is a lot in this thread to scroll through xD
Like how they do rugs inside, why not do a sort of yard rug if it is too much trouble to add in an additional fixture change for the yard *flooring* itself. Since yards are a general size, make the *rugs* large enough that you would only need 2 or 3 to fill in the whole yard. Could have pavement rug, snow rug... yeah, prob get the idea....
Or, like walls and roofs, have a small - medium - large variant.
(I would like myself some snow or sand in the garden!)
Aditionally, I'd love some more "flooring rugs" for inside too.
The tatami mat recently got a flooring variant (the tatami flooring) but I'd love to see some of the others in reverse: a square of floor tiles or wood. About the same size as the tamami mat would be a good size.
Don't know if this has been asked already, but 'd like to see a swimming pool or hot spring furnishing for the outside, and a larger selection of plants and trees as well. Just even more variety of stuff for the outdoor furnishings in general would be nice.
Since with the housing skins like the merchant or mog house skins make it so you can't do different combos (like a different fence) the *rugs* would be nice due to being able to change it without having the restriction of that if it was under fixtures. The made to fit size would be awesome!
Yes, I would like to be able to make a little section with tile for my shower!
Not sure if this was ever posted or suggested. A lot of thread, but the ability to do quest or a system that allows the houses to upgrade from small to medium to large. This could also make it easier to get properties.
Like this (?):

I had to! Sorry lol end of troll :]
So, I know we'll be using this to play XIV music, and hopefully that includes 1.0 tracks (I will literally throw a tantrum if Twilight over Thanalan is not available, I'm warning you now), but question;
Would it be at all possible to include music from other Final Fantasy titles? There's probably some issue with doing something like that, but damn I'd love to have stuff like Rose of May playing in my house... Final Fantasy has a wealth of music for your to cash in on with the Orchestrion, would be a shame not to. Heck, collecting the entire Final Fantasy IX OST would become my endgame if this was done...
Another housing item (be it for the inside or outside) that would be nice is a bulletin board (or something like it) were you can post events that you or your FC are hosting so others will know what and when it will take place. With it functioning similar to the chest, were the leader can limit who posts on it and to limit the number of post placed on it.
Ooh, I'd also like a bulletin board!
Whatever happened to the guestbook feature? I put a ton of effort into decorating, it would really be nice if I could see if others actually came by to check it out. Doesn't have to be something that people leave comment by, just a way to know that hey your house attracted some visitors.
I want a Golden Statue of Godbert Manderville in the atrium of our FC mansion.
It's been brought up before, but I would really love to have the option of designating a roaming/stationary minion (from the list of minions we own, without permanently consuming them) to any/each level of the house without it taking up an extra item slot. Bonus points if commands like /beckon, /pet, /handover still work on it.
I want to build my own furniture from scratch..... make it happen SE plz
tyty
I am sad...

Why are these outdoors? I have the entire basement of my house set up to be a trophy room of sorts, and any furniture that could go there always ends up as outdoors stuff... Look at that T-Rex, it belongs in a museum! I have to have it for my own personal collection now! I'm not dumb enough to leave that outside at the mercy of the elements though...
So much outdoors furniture that could be resized and put indoors, and so much indoors furniture that would be perfect outdoors... Sigh... Can we get a resizing feature and just remove the arbitrary indoor/outdoor furniture distinction?
I need that Faust to put on top of the target dummy in my garden.
I'm not too sure if there has been official response about it before, but can we please have the feature to place our retainers indoors like the one we had outside? I renovated my house to look like a haukke manor/glade style inn and all I need is to dress up one of my retainer like ghost Edda and place her in one of the rooms in my basement. :x
