The system software takes up a majority of the space on the 8GB system. It's not just because of the update (which replaces the old data not so much adds to it)

My friend bought a Wii U and he said he couldn't download Tekken Tag 2 off the store because it took up 17gb. It was either get a 32 gig, or buy an external hard drive.

Any MMO such as Dragon Quest X prob will require the 32gb or an external hard drive. Its kind of bad when you make someone buy an accessory just to play your game.

My 80GB external (you have to hook this one up to a plug as an extra power source) is my only way of using storage. I have a micro SD card that is at 8GB as well, however. I'd rather own the physical copy of a game anyways except if it's eShop-only.

Its most likely it can run on it. Question is.... do we want kids to play this game? Nintendo all about friend codes and what not so its probably not gonna happen. None of the hardcore player base will be on the Wii U, just kids under 14 mainly.

Aiming for Wii U wouldn't work in ffxiv favor because Wii U is aimed for kids and many kids don't play MMO's.

Square-Enix already has an mmo on the wii dragon quest x which is already coming to the wii-u so ff 14 ARR is a possibility provided dragon quest x does ok on wii-u although if sqaure will want two mmos on the same console is another problem.

If I was Square Enix id be aiming for Directx11 for ffxiv 2.0 after Ps3 launch thats if the game is good. Then aiming for next gen xbox and ps4.

but you are right.
and i think the hard drive's space just sucks on the Wii U.. i cant even understand how Nintendo can sell a console with 8 GB... its just ridiculous. even if they try to support their e-store..
but obviously.. they can...

they saved their money in the wrong place.. my opinion. its a torture for all Wii U owners.. when you just can download 1-2 games even with the pro edition and thats it.. thats a fucking joke ;D

32 GB should have been at least the hard disk drive for the standard edition.. and not 8 GB.... ;XD

many people use the wii u as party console... adult people.. believe it or not.
