It's not even a scene which flatters her, so this zealous defence of it is amusing.
No more calamities, so all aboard the Plenty express!

Ok I’m done. You guys want a thread to circle jerk in that’s fine but I’m not arguing with all of you at once. I see no reason to treat the lore forum as anything but a graveyard at this point, and I see my mistake was getting pulled into this discussion again. By all means continue to complain and pretend I’m the one whose not interested in discussion, it’s all any of you seem interested in doing anymore.
I’ll take solace in that it seems Square and the writers are capable of introducing interesting and nuanced moral dilemmas while not writing in cheap twists like so many of you clamored for after SHB. I hope you all enjoy whatever it is you enjoy doing nowadays.
Wotevs. Bye bye.
Yeah, there is no discussion to be had here. You just end up being made fun of, accused of being biased and not understanding lore, and then gaslit to believe that you are the one that's the issue who is unable to partake in a reasonable discussion.
As someone who has been posting around here for almost a decade, I'm not going to stand for what is a rather deceptive attempt at rewriting history. It's something I've commented on many times already, but this previous post of mine sums up my thoughts on the subject quite nicely:
On the bright side, at the end of the day, the writers of FFXIV are going to keep writing the compelling and strong stories that they are, that are very popular with the majority of the people who play the game. And no amount of malding from the same dozen or so people on the lore forums is going to change that.
So compelling and strong a story that the unprecedented step to provide a 'clarification' Live Letter was taken and by their own admission we're missing an entire expansion that would have allowed for smoother pacing and better depth. You'll forgive me for not looking at raw popularity for a measure of the game's success. Especially when fast food is technically the most popular cuisine in the world but quite simply does not compare to the experience and tasting adventures that arise from fine dining.
Yeah, yeah. All of us who like the story of ffxiv are deeply unsophisticated and wouldn't know a good story if we saw it. This exact same fast food comparison was made months ago.
I'm excited for the next patch, can't wait to see what silly slice of life antics we get up to with the scions. I hope G'raha fanboys over the WoL some more.
