It's 2017, when can we get a prominent LGBT character in the storyline?

I understand this is a troll thread but...

"I'm okay with having gay characters in the game as long as I don't have to actually see them" - most of you all in this thread.

Surprisingly, writing and including an LGBT character is... -gasp- not that hard at all.

It is just okay to create these characters as long as there's no agenda behind it to highlight some minorities who think they aren't mentioned enough. Imagine the following claims with more of the nonsense-topics like veganism / cruelty against sheeps you slaughter on your way from level 1 to 3.

Rectification, we don't want a gay character in the story for the sake of having a gay character in the story. If people want to fantasm over gay people there's plenty of fanart and fanfiction where you can make characters as gay as you want. But adding a gay character in the story with no reason would only harm the LGBT community more as it will probably be a big cliché for people to know at the first look "this one, he's gay.".
The matter here is that people want a gay character because they feel like they deserve it but nobody deserve anything, deep inside they just wan't a gay character gay af so that they can fantasm on it.

It's just terrible. This thread does NOT contribute to anything positive to the community. Now the mod might not want to close it due to the fact they might get called homophobic...

This thread is a SHAMBLES right from start

There have been homophobic comments in this thread, but a couple people have been stretching themselves thin to silence any who disagree by labeling them "homophobe" as well.

I'm bloody gay and I think this thread is DISGRACE specially to the gay community in-game.

To me it's insulting to allow the OP to get a way with it.

Its the weekend, mods are off duty, thats why troll threads always start up on friday evenings.

Yeah the OP clearly wanted to stir up civil unrest by using the problems that the LGBTQ community faces today. However, if Square-Enix deletes the thread, they're going to be labeled as homophobic because the outer world has no idea who Skyrior is. Media companies will take it and run with news lines such as "Square-Enix silencing the LGBTQ community".

If you want the thread to disappear, stop posting in it.

Luckily, I know at least one media outlet that isn't going to run with any of this, one way or another.
