i didnt get in...............F**** it! Im just f**in Cursed!! So all of my friends even those who played only 1 Month 1.23 got invites...not me........ARGHHHHH ** RAGE QUIT**

I will say this, my SE account options now say alpha access, but no email yet in my box. so maybe wait a couple more mins?

Tonight's metaphorical kick in the balls - My husband's inactive account got accepted. I'll commence beating him with sticks in the morning.

One of my friends who has 2 accounts both of his accounts got into ALPHA............. Like WTF SE... you are continuing to PISS OFF your player base.

I think to recall that some alpha testers stated that Yoshi made a post in the alpha forums saying that they could reveal they are testers, but I haven't seen any screen cap of said post not am I able to see the alpha forums so...

but i'd like to know - why are invites getting out to inactive accounts?

Lol this is funny, my whole ls got invitations and i'm the only one who has not, and I've been here since alpha 1.0 and have experience in more than 10 mmmos. This makes me feel reeeeally unlucky lol. There are people that have only played ffxi that got invitations so SE is not choosing people with experience in other games. I think alpha invitations are just to show up, and are sent randomly. LoL. I feel so unlucky! XD /comfort myself lol

Mine must have got lost in the mail like my $50,000 check from the prince of Zimbabwe.

LOL... nope, no one breaks the NDA on the official forums unless they're just completely non-comprehending of what an NDA is. There is an "Official forums for Alpha" that they can post all they want on.

Yeah... There's only one more week of invites before it Alpha is officially over and once it's official over no more invites will be sent at all.

im willing to bet people that got suspended from the forums have no chance of getting an invite.

Yes, I would like an explanation too. I am not "crying" about this, just expressing my disappointment in the selection process. I have eagerly awaited to be a tester for Alpha. I have played many MMO's and have everything @ 50 in 1.0 and have been loyal and faithful to this game since day one. I would be a good candidate to help make the game better. I would be active in the Alpha forums and offer good feedback. I can't help feeling rejected.

Then we will have to hope for beta invites, and, have they told already if alpha testers automatically will become beta testers or we all will start anew in the next lottery?

It's a different selection, so yea, the only good thing that i'm thinking is "SE doesn't want me to play the alpha because they want me to be first one on beta" :D

well Beta IS going to be another Lottery. Doesnt mean if u didn't play Alpha you'll get 100% of playing Beta. Its going to be
A) play Alpha and Beta (for the lucky one)
B) play Alpha Only
C) play Beta only
D) have no luck at all and is doing the bacon dance on the floor screaming like a wounded squirrel. No Invite for either Alpha and Beta.

And yes pepeol who have a none active account on FFXIV have been invited. If they does have, its because they have apply. Simple as that.

I think we all have a better chance to be in the beta, because they will send more beta invites than alpha invites, as there will be more content open so we can bug test in depth, and there are not so many resistant factors as there are in the alpha.

Anyway I'd prefer to be in the alpha as I don't want to play content that may not be final, and I know the progress is not going to be saved and then have to replay it when the final version is final released.

I want the benchmark, to see the pretty graphics in real time in my computer.

Try checking your SE account, people reported they didnt get email but were listed there for alpha test.

I can post in the forums because I brought once the auth so I could save my credentials here.

I thought beta would have been released to most or all Computer players its just hearsay but it would be nice if that were the case.

At this point i'd best accept my shaftedness.

Everyone had the opportunity at filling out a form for alpha invites.
They were selected based on their answers.

I now know for a fact both active and inactive accounts are getting in. But with limited space, not everyone is getting in.
