The GC hat isn't half bad for points.

It's been confirmed that the Thavnarian Sarousels give 9 points instead of the normal 8 points for undyed gold score. This might be a mistake by SE, but anyway it means the total worth of that BiS outfit is 101. The correct dyes are worth 3 points, and anything in the similar color is 2 points. So jet black is +3 and soot black is +2. So yeah just swapping one jet black out for soot black will only cause you to loose one point, but that's ok if everything else is correct, you will get 100.
thanks again! got my first 100, had to grind Sohm Al unsynced for several hours, but I guess it was worth it xD

To those who are still looking..
What my friend did is to exploit the guaranteed reward of a gear piece in 50+ dungeons.
So if you run Sohm Al unsynced 10x as a healer, you'll definitely get the armlet. Just don't throw away the pieces that you've got.
There are 10 gear pieces (ring is unique so can't get two), and the guaranteed reward at the end will always give you something you haven't got before for your current class.
You may get as lucky as 1 run, or you may get as unlucky as 10 runs, but the treasure chests also gives pieces, so that can speed up your collecting.
tl;dr Be healer, run Sohm Al up to 10x, never discard any healer piece you get, and guaranteed you'll get the healer armlet.
Has anyone put together a non-lv60 healer 80+ set?
I don't have the crafting skills to get the legs, but I can still hit 81.
Weapon dyed Soot Black (Augmented Ironworks for me)
Hit up your Grand Company for the Lieutenant's head (unsure if it turns out the same points as generic head dyed Snow White, didn't have crafting for BiS)
Chest dyed Snow White
BiS hands
Apple Green legs
Soot Black feet
Ishgardian bracelet (because I was dumb and my healers aren't 57 yet for Halonic, lololol)
Just managed to squeeze by.
I finally hit 100 this week. I guess there's no point in getting 100 again?
Got 100 points as well this week, I'm never touching this again to maybe do the scrubby 80 point set every now and then. My poor gil pocket suffered and I wish I knew the jet black could been replaced earlier. :p
I know the pain! My wallet was hurting those 1st 3 weeks. I managed to get 100 on the 3rd week with the Samurai. I have been squeaking by with just past 80 ever since. I just put together a gear set I don't care for that I can dye within color range and use it week after week. I can get 70s with that alone. Then I just try to get whatever I can get to get to 80+ and done.
I do something similar, but slightly more wasteful. I buy a new set of level one trash gear each week, do the dyes as needed, then sell them off for 1 gil each when ive got my 80+(i did my 100 with the fishing week since i already had all those items aside from the rod). Combined with the 1-3 actual items i have/seek out, and its an easy/fairly cheap way to go.
Cross-linking hints thread.
There are quite a few different glasses that Goldsmiths can make that are all dyeable. Given this hint, maybe the Elegant Rimless Glasses?
There was that idea, but I also was seeing a decline in activity in this thread every week. I think we're at our lowest point now, there's hardly any discussion here on speculation time (in reddit the speculation threads also declined in activity), and there's not much to talk here when the results come out because a lot of people know how the system works, and just follow the best setup and just go down from there. (Most of the activity in the results are actually people who thought they got an alternative but not, or people who complained about not having the event item)
The reddit usually is also faster in collecting data for the best setup, but that place is usually horrible for questions because only the popular comments floats to top and the newer comments gets forgotten.
I was never averse to someone taking over in a new thread, or weekly, or whatever. Mostly just made the thread cuz it was weird that there wasn't a thread yet at the time. But yeah, think it's reached a point where enough crowdsourcing happens quickly enough that discussion isn't even really needed. It's nice that someone still shares the reddit results here (for people like me that otherwise don't touch reddit).

Doesn't appear to be job-locked this week to get 100 though I'm not certain all the Scintillant Ring variations have been checked yet.
Fun Fact, the anemos suspenders, despite being identical to the flannel ones in every way, are one-star. SE, I doubt the verisimilitude of your fashion judging formula. -_-
They arent identical in every way, though.
The flannel ones have the sweater or whatever wrapped around the waist. The Anemos doesnt.
I wonder if SE is trying to "encourage" people to complete the Sahigan beast tribe with the BiS dyes frequently being purchasable from them.
The Sahigan are the least completed beast tribe in the game. Beast Tribe Stats
I tend to buy most of the dyes from the Junkmonger in my personal cottage...or usually have them on my retainer that is exclusively for dyes, materia, and tokens to buy various materia with.
The only times I don't go and grab them from my retainer/cottage, is if I don't have them and they can only be bought from the beast tribe.
So, I can sorta understand most of the hints. But how does the ring fit with "the cloth I bear"?
Taking an L on this one for pre-60.
It's either mislocalization or stupid play of words. The Cloth I Bear is a dumb play on the cross I bear, and cross is the hint for all other 3 language. There's a cross on the scintillant rings and the carborondum rings are shaped like a cross.
Never take the English hints seriously.
Some of these hints must be an inside joke.
It was a play on words based on a mislocalization. Someone in the initial reddit thread for the week said the Japanese word used on the hint can mean cloth or cross depending on context and the person doing the English localization guessed wrong on which one was meant.
People suspect the localization teams only have access to the Japanese clues without information about the actual item. Sometimes English has been dead on while the other languages give a misleading clue. It's why a lot of people wait for players to list the localizations in the other languages before starting to guess what the intended item is.
I like the humor in the English clues. It's more entertaining than getting just a plain adjective. It just worked out wrong this time.

Looks like they had a hard time guessing this week's.
Ya I was surprised that it wasn’t up before I went to work this morning, a big thank you to everyone that helped work on that.
This is one of those weeks where you look at some of the color choices and just go wtf...
This looks like such an easy week to hit 80, but, I kinda just never got around to bothering. I think not having any more big prizes to work towards 'sides cards cuts down how motivated I am to try.
I mean it really is an easy week for 80. Artisan gown(gc seals), boarskin hat(lvl 40 craft), GC ring(provisioning missions), any dyable legs and gloves, 2 cheap black dyes, 1 cheap purple, 1 cheap red, and 1 cheap brown should be 80. If you dont have a dyable weapon, then get the rolan red(dye merchant in any town) and either the plum purple or qiqi brown(crafted/sylph respectively) to make up for the 2 lost points on the cheap black dye. That setup requires nothing beyond you having leveled up your GC rank and having done some provisioning missions(which are a great boost when leveling crafter/gatherer classes, so many have already done them anyway).
Thanks for the info folks!

I wouldn't be surprised if each major or mid patch increased the rewards. I'm curious how they'll develop this more.
i wish there was a way to see your accumulated points total.
100 points for this week:
https://www2.pic-upload.de/thumb/352...07-05-2018.jpg
Weapon: Any colorable weapon -> Othard Blue
Head: Coeurl Eyeglasses -> Soot Black
Body: Uraeus Body Armor for men / Hempen Camise for women -> Snow White
Hands: Dinosaur Leather Gloves -> Opo-opo Brown
Legs: Quan -> Soot Black
Feets: Any colorable Feets -> Soot Black
Ring: Master Conjurer's Ring
..I think this is the first week that I have almost everything already. Just need to get me a pair of Coeurl Eyeglasses and that will be that(aside from a few dye which are easy to get from NPCs).
Edit: Well, I was almost right. Had the eyeglasses, just needed the Camise(9,450 after taxes) and the ring(never did finish those...until tonight). Plus a few dyes.
I tried 4 different pant options and didn't do better than 94, Scion's bottoms, Thavnairian sarouel, Velveteen chausses & Wind Silk Bottoms, all 3 star from the dye
I might be reading this wrong because im tired. You paid 9450 for a hempen camise? If so, im sorry to inform you that the person who listed that on the MB ripped you off. The "importer" NPC in all 3 starting cities(so... Roarich, Maisenta and Bango Zango) sell those for 59 gil. Its also a level 3 weaving recipe, so a non-crafter could walk into the weavers guild pick up the class and make the item(the guild supplier has all the mats you need to make it) in less then 5 mins.
