The server is full, try again later (1017)

Yeah... I'm normally a patient person but this is starting to get to me. I -really- hope this isn't a long term solution otherwise I'm taking my money elsewhere.

Was in earlier, then got kicked transitioning through zones and now getting 1017 again and again and again and again and again. To infinity and beyond.

Beta 4 server stress testing should have been extended for 2 weeks to catch this issue before early access.

On Cactuar btw.

This is fucking horse shit, and of course the Japs aren't affected...

Can you get in if you keep trying or is it locked until they fix it?

What's the point of having spent the money on a preorder for early access if I get absolutely 0 play time during said time frame? The only thing I've been able to do was make my character and join my class guild since early access started. All day yesterday and today there's been something new as to why I can't get in. Ohhhh there's maintenance, ohhhh there's login issues after maintenance, ohhhh there are still freaking log in issues today and now it's just that the servers are full? This is absolutely ludicrous. If this is what I can expect from this game's service after all of the nonsense that was put up with during 1.0, I may just not even play at all. There's not a single acceptable reason why there weren't enough servers made so this type of thing doesn't happen. "Early Access" has just become another way to say "get stressed out, disappointed, and quickly lose interest." Lovely way to start off guys...

I mean, c'mon it worked for 1 day with LOTS of bugs.. At first there were disconnections, then came the instanced battles + dungeon finder problems, then came super long maintenances, then not being able to login at all. Is that what people paid for?
I understand that it is just the first couple of days and it is normal to have problems with MMOs at launch. But this is "Early Access" which you were supposed to get, not early disappointments.

Also, why are the NA/EU servers having such problems while JP was fine? It did happen during the phase 4 beta so it should have been fixed by now no?
One more thing.. If this happened, and worlds were always full, while only those with Early Access are on.. What would happen on launch day? :/

I totally agree that people should get compensation, I mean we as paying customers did not receive the product we paid for, did not get sufficient explanation why we were given said product, did not even get the attention of the vendor. can you imagine this anywhere else and be okay with it? and all of you seasoned MMO veterans, keep the "this is normal for an MMO launch, nothing compared to XXX" to yourself. words like that are exactly what's preventing the situation from getting better. just because there is worse does not mean I have to accept what's bad.

and let's face it there ain't gonna be many more people on launch day. I mean there will be more people gradually, but since there nothing stopping people with intention of purchase to gain early access, there won't but a surge of newcomers.

SOOOOO annoyed just give me a 5 hr que that says I'll be able to get in... clicking the buttons and entering info 5million times attempting to find that I have failed to login is really pissing me off....

I've played a lot of MMO Launch/Beta/Early Access, and not sure if it's because I like the game more or not, but...

I have never been this frustrated with a launch. I am an IT guy, so patience is a necessity, but this is just ridiculous.

I am now getting world info pretty consistently; for the last few minutes anyways. Maybe they fixed something there. Still getting the 1017 when I log in though.

If these companies want to swing "always on" games... they really need to cut this sh*(^&$%(# out
