Seriously its so simple. What is so difficult and painful for some people to list 99 Ore
Buy as many as you like as singles for 10gil each
If you buy the stack you can have them for 900 gil as a job lot saving you 90gil
Its up to the seller to figure out a price for singles that would make him/her a nice profit if the whole stack got nibbled at a couple at a time.
My favourite MMO's of all time used this method (EQ2 & VG) and it worked very well.
I'm not suggesting we only have this way to do things but please give sellers the option to "flag" a stack as splitable on the markets and set a unit price so people can chip away at it and get what they NEED!
I'm a customer, If I cant get what I want from a seller in the way that I want it, you just lost a sale <------------------------------ Business 101 people
The dev explanation is bull. Where is the logic here? 1.0 had a simple system with the markets that was good for both buyers and sellers. Stacks were available at your convenience. This is so incredibly inconvenient. I don't know how anyone can be defending this. The 1.0 system enriched both parties the buyer and the seller while making it simple to get what you wanted when you needed it. As a full-time miner, crafter and buyer this is driving me insane.
Say you've got a few stacks of 99 items and the most desirable quantity on the market is a bundle of 5. Are you REALLY expecting people to fill up their Retainer capacity with bundles of 5 AND sit in front of their PC to replace them as they sell until the stack is gone?
This system actually rewards RMT who have nothing better to do than mechanically put up bundles of 1-5 items on the store until the stacks of 99 are gone at a high price, and puts real life players at a disadvantage.
As a seller, the service I WANT TO OFFER is a stock of 99 items sellable in variable quantities and transactions without my further intervention. I don't want my *playing time* to be spent micro-managing small bundles on the market
As a buyer, I want to be able to buy however many I need, no more, no less.
Your system is retarded and impractical. "Working as Intended" is a fine response unless your intention is stupid to begin with. INTEND OTHERWISE.
VERSION 1 HAD IT RIGHT.
I also would like to be able to buy a single piece from a stack.
forgot to bring back the ability to hide quest in your journal the little yellow squares you can turn them on and off so you can track the quest you want and not have them on all the time hogging up your screen.
this marketward system where you sell singles or stacks is RMT's best friend they already undercut you by alot and they watch the market i undercut them and when i check the board im undercut again. this system is not effective stuff just sits unless you have someones magic number in the stack or have nothing but singles up for sell..
To be honest this really is not game breaker and as such with all the other problems going on at present so I would not expect much feedback.
Though to appease both sides it would be best suited, if when the seller puts a stack up for sale he has a optional tick box. That if said tick box is left unchecked then people would be able to buy the amount of items from that stack they need. If the box is ticked then the stack can will only be sold as a full stack.
I would like to see buyers able to request items at the very least.
Who would have thought the 1.0 market would be the thing we missed the most? Keep complaining, maybe we'll go back to retainers only with no search engine.
