Like others said, the new faces look flat, lifeless, washed out, less detailed, the lips especially. The upper lip is closer to the original though slightly off, but the lower lip is nowhere near. It's a different shape. Also the part under the lower lip is bigger in DT and changes the look a lot. Kinda feels like the lips are tucked a bit. The missing glossy effect also makes it look bland. The eyes are actually flat ... you can see in the side picture the eyeball is no longer a ball.
I am very disappointed. I was not okay with it since the first ever reveal of the Au'ra face, but hoped the final result would be closer to the original. This I rate as a Dawnfail.

I would have to say, I think I look just fine.

A lot of this seems to be due to the lighting, as it looks a lot better in the default environment than the outdoors environments, but the changes I don't like are:
- The upper eyelashes are much thicker.
- The eye highlights are not as pronounced.
- The lip shape seems a bit flatter? It seems to have a bit less of a downward curve now. The flatter shading and lack of gloss also look weird. (face 4, mouth 4)
- The hair color is really flat. The base color is much brighter, but the highlights aren't as bright.
In the softer outdoor lighting, she looks kinda dull and bored now...

Overall quite satisfied, it still feels like her to me. Only nitpick is how the lips have lost their shape and gloss.

I searched the thread and no one mentioned Gamma Correction.
A lot of people are having issues with the lighting on their characters. While I am not very happy with the actual model details and the seemingly Alpha state of the graphical update in the benchmark, you may be able to fix the lighting in the benchmark. In game you may have adjusted your gamma correction from the default 50 to lower. The Benchmark also defaults to 50, and you have to change it manually compared to in-game. If you think the lighting is especially bad and your character seems to glow or is "washed-out," please check the gamma and post.

i'm pretty much happy with the changes. He looks a little more mature now
Gamma correction is at 20%

i really dislike the changes to my au ra :(
patch 6.58 (current) vs benchmark
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...9f2ab3db6bacb&https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...02656d921e606&
in the benchmark her limbal rings look dull but changing the color to something lighter (not pictured) fixed it. the pupils look bigger in the benchmark... i don't like that
my biggest complaint is her lips. i love the width, color and shape of them currently. the benchmark made her lip color darker/duller(??) and more narrow and most importantly changed the entire shape of them. she honestly looks so different. super unhappy with these changes :(

This is the biggest disappointment on my face 3 female Au Ra. I don't like her eye color being so different, but that I can adjust. I can't adjust her lips shape. I use lips 2 and they are, just like seen here, noticeably smaller, look blurrier, and the top lip has been completely flattened on the bottom, and the bottom lip is smaller and less full. Her lips were a big part of why I chose face 3! They are such a charm point on her!! They told us they wanted to make sure our characters still looked like the WoLs we've come to know and love, so why change something like this? It's a completely needless change that no one wanted or asked for.

When any light (any light at all) falls on her face, it seems that there is a thread stretched through her lips and cheeks that cuts into her face and creates this straight dent. And of course there is nothing like this on the old model of my character. I've seen opinions here that the character editor has bad lighting. No. This light is not bad at all for an old model. Yes, I understand that the lighting in the game has changed. But this new light also does not look bad for other races that don't have this dent. But I guess there's some way to change her face and get rid of that horrible hollow all over her cheeks? It's truly impossible to watch. She looks like a victim of a plastic surgeon.
To play like this... I don't want to exaggerate, but it will be extremely difficult. Because this defect is present not only in the character editor. It's perfectly visible in the benchmark itself. I can’t close my eyes in horror every time I see her face in cutscenes, in which the light is not always complimentary and we all know it.
I really hope, I don’t know what else to do if not hope, that this will be fixed.
UPD: It's also very visible here, in full comparison
