No, he's saying in patch 1.19 you'll be able to rent out chocobos. And they are trying out ideas for chocobo raising as mounts and other animals, and pets for certain jobs only (not class specific mounts, class specific PETS).

I would personally be satisfied with using only chocobos as mounts IF they actually gave them different abilities this time around a la FFIV, V, VII, and IX as opposed to just being present in the lore.

IE, give me chocobos that can fly, cross through water, maybe be better suited for certain climates, different abilities like jumping(I would totally be up for chocobo jumping), digging, racing, etc.

Yep they plan on this! I actually don't see it taking too much longer after all of the battle updates to implement this.

God these are seriously my favorite posts on these boards, its like people actually believe XIV can afford to lose any more subscribers.... If i didnt want this game to succeed so bad i almost wish another mass exodus would happen upon their decision to start charging so you can see exactly where your logic got you and this game.... If it wasnt obvious im so sick of people saying stupid sh*% like oh ho herp derp hope more people leave so my game can be the 1337 saus single player sandbox i always wanted!

Well, people need to stop complain over stupid stuff. Chocobo Awesome addition what happens? It gets trashed down.. Grand Companies awesome addition like FFXI Nation missions.. what happens Trashed down... Fatigue System Thank god its gone.. what happens? This shouldn't have been in the game in the first place instead of like Hooray thank god its gone.. You see what I mean? its Idiotic responses such as those that really bother me.. not the people being so Negative about that game ( though I wish it would stop) but its whatever.

i hear what your saying but honestly we can afford to listen to the trashing because honestly it is never going to go away. However, this game can not afford to lose subscribers no matter who they are. We need to sit back and take the negitive posts with a grain of salt and hope that SE can deliver and can be in a state of charging and growing. What we cant do is wishing for people to leave an already withered player base.
