No, its not fixed. Literally just happened to me about 20 minutes ago. Southern California in Summer, brownouts are very common. Power goes out for 10 seconds, now I have to wait 10 hours for the game to reinstall.

Lucky, you only wait 10 hours. I wait about 3 weeks because of disconnection all the damn time.
But waiting again, if it's fixed then I pack up and head to my brother again for the weekend which isnt a quick trip. Just to install a freaking game.

SE, please note, the dedication of some of your loyal clientele. I switched from PC to Ps4, hoping it would be a smooth ride, but isnt. I lost more than 60 days of game time due to issue that weren't related to SE apparently even though the problems started before launch of heavensward. When it was released, all hell broke loose on my computer at the time. 1st the issue with logging in, then black screen issue, then loading issue. Needless to say, they are the most secure and most fun but it seems like alot of people are going to start fading due to support responses like these.

I actually can't wait for the new MMO's and especially monster hunter to be released next year. So for the time being, i'm not going to buy the new expansion, even if i get it for free. It's way to much leg work for something to work flawlessly on a console of all platforms.

This just happend to me AGAIN as well power flicked for not even an minute and now ive got to wait 3days to play the game again becuse of something i couldn't have seen coming this bug is byond frustrating my download speed is so far byond garbage its not funny!

I was watching this forum once in while and hoping never happened to me... In middle of the Trial, my baby accidentally plugged off ps4 power. When I logged in again , I found it downloading the whole ~22 gb!

It seems that it only happened when you are in game and get power outage.

AND IT IS RIDICULOUS!

I Really tried to get back into this game because of how fun it was and awesome the bit of stormblood I've been able to play, but I've had two power outages while playing and each time get stuck with this ridiculous download and not only is it long but it can't be downloaded in the background. So thanks square for not fixing this issue and not giving any form of updates and etc. and letting this one bug ruin your game, again thanks for nothing

This happened to me just now. Unsubbing until they resolve this issue. Thanks se, bought a new ps4 for this game, all caught up. Can't blame third-party attackers for this muck up.

Is there really no update ANYWHERE on this? I've been scared to play for more than a few hours at a time because I live in a rural area where storms are kind of common.. I'd at least like some kind of rough ETA if anyone has managed to squeeze any details out of a GM or caught something on twitter/any other forum.

The best practice to do right now, and this is what i read in dutch forum, that after you are done playing, just close the application to avoid crashing and redownloading issue again.

You can add me to the list of people having to redownload. Power flickered just long enough to turn everything off and now I'm having to redownload the game. Whats worse is that even though I have a 45 MB/s download speed, the launcher only DL's at 3.09 MB/s.

Has anyone tried powering off the PS4 normally before accessing FFXIV again after the power returns?

My power just went out while watching youtube on my ps4. As soon as power came back i launched the game and i didn't have to update anything. Was this fixed?

It only gives you the problem if you have FFXIV running, so if you were only watching youtube it doesnt give you the patch

One of my FC friends has a data cap each month. He can't even download this patch because of the size and it sucks that this is taking forever to be fixed. He literally can't play anymore.

It happens only when u are running the game; what always do, I quit the game and after i see launcher is running, i turn off ps4 normally. No problem encountered.

Just had a quick power flicker. So decided to check to see if I had the glitch and yep, 22Gb download. At 2.54 Mb/s its going to take a while. Should note, I had logged out of my game, to launcher before I put my ps4 into sleep mode the night before. Not sure if that makes any difference but figure might as well add it. I really hope this is something that gets fixed soon. I really like Storm Blood, and FF14 in general, but this is a huge kick in the teeth.

Happened only if the game is running (after the launcher), and even if u suspend the game and watch YouTube. But in ur case, ffxiv was not running, thus you wont get this issue.

It happens on ps4 hard shut-in what i believe, but I didnt know even in launcher that issue could also happen.

It's been rainy where I live for nearly a week, and this just happened to me! I'm freaking out so badly, it took days for me to download the entire game onto my PS4 when I first got it. Is this a Sony issue, or Square? Who do I talk to? Have any devs replied to this thread?

My power went out for a few hours and now i have the same update going. This freakin sucks!

The devs have replied stating they are working with Sony to address the issues. I think they claimed it was a issue on PSN's end soooo.... we'll see how long it takes.

That's wrong =/ It happened to me when I had the PS4 in rest mode, and I didn't have any power issues. It seems to be a random problem.

Just got a power outages, and now I'm redownloading 22882.21mb. I never have to do this before.. -_-

I never had this issue before, till yesterday; i read this entire forum + reddit and most of them say "power outage". Beside what u said, i always put my ps4 on rest aftet logout and i never encountered any redownload problem. Maybe u have different case?

Happened to me again and am currently downloading again. Power flickered yesterday so I just went to bed and was met with a 22GB download today woohoo :(

Seriously, almost 1 month and they still not fix it

I unsubbed and have been playing a different game because if this issue. Wish I didn't have to but downloading 23gig and I have to pay for each gig over my limit is just so irritating. I don't know...This game had so much potential before this stormblood launcher. I'm so frustrated I don't even know what to say.

Well my sub is almost out and dont think I will be resubbing until they fix this nonsense error
I have been loyal for 3years playing this game and this is the first time that I encounter such a horrible error, its totally annoying, and I dont have time to wait for 15 hours trying to re update a launcher. Thank you and see you soon.

Was downloading the 22gb while I slept. Ps4 went into powersave mode after 4 hours, so... Changed it to no power mode and began the downloading again.

You people know if i can ask for a refund? It is the seventh time this happen to me and im just pissed .

Just had a power outage and this bug has occured to me. Are there any updates for a fix yet?

Middle of a Dungeon, Power Outage, Download the whole Expansion. Fix this crap.

I'm sorry but this is very VERY VERY disappointing. especially for ppl like me that has limited gb download and this has occured to me for the 3rd time now. I won't be even be able to play the game at some point and that's a Sub wasted for the month.

Are someone already try to moving the game to external hdd ? i want to test it when power outage hit, are we still got to redownload the thing when our game is in ext hdd.

This has happened to me 3 times since the patch. Please fix this! I have to wait half a day to reinstall.

Ridiculous! My power flicked on and off today, just long to cause my PS4 to reboot while I was playing FFXIV. Now I'm forced to download over 22GB of data at a speed of less than 0.85 Mbps. (My ISP's download speed is > 30Mbps so it's being throttled on Sony or SE's end, where ever the game is downloaded from.)
