Heals for Scholors need a buff

I don't understand what the issue is. The only thing WHM has over SCH is burst AoE healing, and not having to deal w/ a pet dying. Everything else (single target, sustainability, etc.) SCH does better. I think the only thing SCH needs is pet control improvements and pet skill macro support. If SCH gets medica, there would be no reason to bring WHM at all.

The best healing lineup for 8 man parties is 1 SCH 1 WHM.

Main heal is WHM!! SCH is support heal/buffer. Is obvious WHM will heal more than SCH.

Why a healer is considered support for another class? A support cant stand on its own, which is a very terrible design. You aint understanding both SCH AND WHM.

this is actually wrong under so many point of view...

1) there is no distinction between main heal and side healer (like there should not be between pld and war but unfortunately they really can feel the difference... and we as healer can feel it too -_-')
2) sch are actually better MT healer than WHM while WHM are better group healer than SCH... so if u want to call one of the 2 classes a main healer than it should be the SCH... (even if as said before there is not an actual distintion since both of them can cover either role... is simply that one cover a specific role a little better than the other...


all in all... WHM+SCH are the best setup... I'm usually running this setup with a guild mate... every time I run pug and get a second WHM I really feel the difference.. even not so good SCH feel better than a second good WHM sometime... and I asked other WHM I parted with if they felt the same having always the affermative answer from them...

what really SCH need... is a serious improvement on the pet... the ability to macro the pet skill... the ability to set the pet into a REAL steady stance (not one that is overwritten every time u give him the orther to use a single skill -_-')...

SCH is actually a LITTLE (while on the paper should be a sensible margin) better than WHM as single target healing... this because the pet sometime act on his own using skill not needed in that moment or healing a differnt target that what u would like for her to heal...
SCH is actually a LOT (while always on the paper should be behind but not that much) less performing of WHM on group healing due to the pet firing his aoe regen whenever he want instead of when YOU want

still... smart using of SCH shielding heals (yes even succor with his small shield) can be of great help during fight with big aoe transition (primals fights for example) and makes the job of the WHM lot easier while the SCH can istantly turn his attention on the tank leaving the party totally to the whm that will be safe without looking at the MT health for a good 2 or 3 gcd...

Your entitlement makes you not worth responding to.

Just make it so the fairy never uses the cooldown skills unless you command it to.

Buff Sustain's heal, pet hp for both summoner and scholar by 30-50%, and make sustain remove debuffs off the pet.

Double succor's potency.

And BTW being a better tank healer means nothing. What kills a group in most encounters is not the tank dying -- it's aoe damage to the group forcing the healers to divert attention.

Thats why SCH is currently inferior to WHM. Tank healing is moot if you are geared sufficiently, both WHM and SCH can do their job fine, but SCH struggles during high AoE damage phases while WHM breezes through with 2 high HPS aoes. Shielded AoE is too situational (read: constant damage required to maximize its effect), while most AoE in this game are spiky. Pet needs to be fixed ASAP, and let SCH micros its pet regardless of GCD. Otherwise, I suggest healers switch to WHM to really experience the difference. Afterall most gears are shared between healers classes.

With manual pet healing/proper pet placement the only fight I have found whm to be necessary is Titan and that is only for stomps past heart. Coil Turn 1 is all Sch specially the end boss. Same with Turn 2 I much prefer shields and sustained heal over whm burst cure....

Basically, the main problem the way I see it, is the lack of control over our Fairy. If we could have total control over her AoE HoT, this would be a far lesser issue. Succor and Whispering Dawn seem made for each other, when cast together or in quick succession. It won't have the 'burst' of a WHM, but it should suffice in most situations, especially when further combined with Fey Illumination. In my opinion, this was in fact SE's intent, yet their execution is unfortunately flawed due to archaic and frustrating pet mechanics.
Just give us a way to stop the pet from blowing it's cooldowns all the time and halve the cooldown on Whispering Dawn and the issue is gone.

Did you not see my number calcs? whm base tanks heals is much higher potency then sch.Until Sch puts in lustrates then the sch catches up and beats whm until they run out of lustrate where they will fall behind again. Whm in same gear also heals like 40hp more then sch with same potency spells i have noticed.
Whm cure heals 880-912hp
sch physick heals 850-880
In same gear. That widens a gap a little too.

Also remember that due to whms crazy aoe heals. They can just cast 1 20yard medica 2 and go straight back to tank healing compared to sch who has to use succor a few times.

Due to the crappy fairy control schs potential healing is nerfed.

I would like them to give it more range, less duration but less cooldown. So it becomes more of preemptive reactionary tool to deal with aoe for which sch is at such a disadvantage. Whereas whm can tank heal just fine.
