This story is really underwhelming - it's opened to mixed reviews.

So for those who don't like the story so far, what quest level are you?

Just entering the lvl 95 quests on my main and started just flat out skipping cs a couple levels ago cause its just so bad

100. I'm outside of the final trial. The writing this expansion is really bad and Wuk Lamat is a vacuous mess of a main character who hogs 99% of the screentime.

Just got to level 84 and I've already actually fallen asleep playing the MSQ and I am dead serious, went to get a drink, laid on my bed instead of my chair and then zzzzzzzzz.

I'm trying so hard to give this MSQ the benefit of the doubt, there's characters I like here, Alphinaud is my fav character in the game, yet even here he's doing diddly sqaut. By this point in EW and ShB he was already making moves and growing as a character in Eulmore and Garlemald, but he's done almost nothing here.

Well, what about Wuk Lumat? Has she grown? Not really, maybe a tiny bit, but she's still pretty childish and arrogant, I hope it'll get better later in the MSQ but it's crazy how there's been so little character development over a third of the way into the MSQ.

Crazy part is I've even seen people in game complain about the MSQ, normally people go berserk when you dare criticize their exalted game made by their Lord God Almighty Yoshi P, but it's so bad even in global there's some resentment.

I'll make a follow up post when I complete the MSQ but as of right now I've never been more bored.

My conclusion so far is we're still very much suffering as a result of the pretty boring Endwalker patch series. So much of the stuff they are doing at the start of the expansion is the stuff they'd normally do in like x.4 and x.5 historically.

Now they have to cram it all into the start of the expansion story and it just drags on.

How they handled the patch series this time around continues to be a thorn in the side of the game.

Done. The story has some serious padding issues. It's not streamlined; meaning, that you can't just follow the main objective, without breaking the pacing and going on a several hour-long detour.

The 4th zone put me to sleep omg

97 or 98. I'm pretty sure I'm close to the end.

I've now cleared the MSQ and 90-95 is genuinely some of the most excruciatingly, painfully boring questing I have ever done in a game
Everyone's always going on about "optimizing" ARR quests so it's less of a painful filter to newcomers... but what is this?
My friends are hardly even interested in playing anymore already, they've just... stopped, tuned out and loaded up another game
