Gaia's Outfit on Mogstation

Pls stop turning my thread into a slapfight about Garlean armour being problematic or not.

I'll just throw in my opinion in here as well, just to give this topic more attention.
So, concerning garlean armor... (just kidding xD).

I believe NPC outfits are all non-dyeable? This is something they skipped on for some reason. I wish they could be dyed, but as it stands, developers appear to have other opinions on the matter. Maybe it is too much of a hassle to make? I have no idea how much effort it takes to make an item like Gaias outfit dyeable, so it is hard for me to judge =/.

Hovever...
I wish they'd take more time to convert these outfits into multiple pieces. I understand why they chose to release i.e. omegas outfit as a single piece only - because that is exactly what it is, and all pieces kind of blend into each other, so releasing them as separate items might prove to be impossible? But Gaias outfit is an entirely different matter.

The arm-thingies(is it a jacket? I'm not sure honestly >.<.) are connected behind her back, so they cannot be gloves. I get that. Also her dress is kind of a one-piece, so having its skirt separate from the top is also not an option.

But what about her boots? Or her knee-highs? There is no reason for not having those included as boots or pants respectively. They don't blend into other pieces of the outfit.

Even if the dress part was clipping horribly on the skirt section if worn together with pants, they could still have done the following:

- add dress without arm thingies as pants + chest
- add dress with arm thingies as pants + chest + gloves
- add arm thingies without thing behind back als simple glove variant
- add boots
- add knee-highs

Sure, price would go up by a ton because of this. I'm not sure about others, but I'd rather spend more money and have a nice Gaia themed selection of glamour, than having only a single piece that offers no flexibility.

I'd also like to add that I wish we'd get the hairstyles with the outfits. I'm not really sure why they're okay with putting time and resources into Alphinaud and Alisaie's hairstyles (literally no one wears them) but then hairstyles THEY know will be popular - Ryne, Gaia, etc - they don't add the hairstyles? I DON'T UNDERSTAND SE T_T

I think it's a couple of reasons. One, just simply the time to actually do the hairstyles, and two, SE, to me, seems to have a very selective sense of quality control, and I wouldn't doubt that longer hairs are affected by it.

I half expect if I like something it will be one piece and undyable, after waiting forever for Lyse's and then the Omega outfit caught my eye. No matter how many times it happens it's still disappointing though, because my brain doesn't listen when I tell it not to think of things like what the boots might go with or how it would look in a different color. Gaia's I won't be getting, the design is nice but I wouldn't use it in black.

It really is frustrating. I wanted the top/jacket piece of Gaia's outfit and I had so many glam ideas.

The skin tone issue with the tights has been fixed! :)

It's subtle but I think they also changed the store pictures to reflect this update.

I hate that its a one-piece. I bought it because i only wanted the shoes, i looooove them and wanted them with something else.
And also, this would have been a golden opportunity to add her hair.... DO IT. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT.

Oh nice! Wonder if they’ve noticed the clipping on the sleeves at all. Not too bad, until you get the balloon mount and the arm holding the string looks like the fabric is growing out of it. lol
