No argument there. I agree it was a needless change, but to see people so up in arms over something that will have little to zero impact on their own personal game experience is pretty funny, so it's hard not to comment.

Well after finding out it's one of those down to the last second AOE indicators that you can't actually run from but tells you that its there, I'm not as bothered. While I would prefer consistency, this is something players will encounter.

I figured that might be the case, but thank you. I assume there's a reddit page somewhere with the info?

At the end of the day, I don't really see the big deal over this Coincounter change. Do I feel that it was needed 7 years later? Not really. I feel the same about flying in ARR though. However, I'm not triggered by their additions either. Seriously, it's not that bad. People need to get over themselves and look at all the good things or things that actually matter with this patch instead of focusing on just one, insignificant change.

I agree.

At first I was bothered that after 6 years they added these ! and !! symbols for Fisher when a fish bites. I didn't need them in the last years so why should I need them now? They were just an annoyance. But then I asked myself: Would they also annoy me when these symbols were already there from the beginning? Probably not.

I was basically mad just for the sake of being mad.

I was never mad, more confused why they took this route instead of making it less one-shot-y.

Also, I still don't know why there are the different !/!! for fishing, but I admit I've not looked in on it.

It's basically for when you need to figure out how to reel your line in (precice or powerful)
