The "Wow Refugee's" impact on the FFXIV Community?

The problem is with the Community Manager, that don't apply strict rules for suggestion and let this chaotic way of expressing ideas go on.
If you saw JP forums at least for classes, there is a dedicated sticky for each individual class so people can vent suggestion for their on classes avoiding having all the feedback dispersed all around.

To be honest I forget there's even a CM most times because they respond to a single random thread about twice a year.

They're gonna have a ff14 refugee problem once shadowlands come out

We've had WOW refugees even long before and I've never seen any negative impact, actually I found it actually improved the community even more as more people came the more diverse the community became.

Only change I would ask is if they could streamline their accounts system, making multiple accounts on multiple sites just to buy something or interact is quite a chore. (Lodestone, Square, Mogstation and the Forums are have different accounts and I have keep logging into one or the other everytime I have to look at something.)

Only advice I can give new players is to enjoy the game.

I just worry that some (not all) wow players will try to bring the min/max toxic meta mentality to this game.

I also worry that this particular crowd will cause issues with content by becoming toxically vocal on the forums.

As of right now based on conversation on the wow forums the really toxic players are staying with wow mostly because their egos can’t handle going to a game they never played, hate, and despise, simply for not being wow.

I do think that dungeon runs will become more “GO GO GO GO GO, don’t watch cut scenes, hurry up noob LTP!!!” with lots of griefing over little mistakes etc…

For the most part I think many will be like myself and find this game to be very relaxing, fun, and a community that is welcoming etc…

Hard to gauge, since XIV's endgame agenda is vastly different than WoW's. It's much less competitive, which is the kind of environment that weights a lot in how the players are toxic over there.

As a player I would love more challenging level 90 content to run with four people. But then, we might be getting a Deep Dungeon, so that void will mostly be covered by that. Would welcome a "Savage" dungeon mode, though.

I would say: take your time to enjoy the journey to the level cap. There's no rush to get there because you are not penalized for "missing out", consuming endgame content ASAP.
