I don't understand why they didn't add some gear rewards (like rings) at completion, at least.

I'm somewhat upset about the nerfs, not in that new players will have it easier, but to me it just seems like all those people that would abandon the duty at the start, instead of spending 2-3 min explaining fight, or coordinating strategy, have finally gotten what they want, they can faceroll the duty now and get their tomes, while 1-2 new players are wondering what the heck is going on.
I already delivered my thoughts on the matter in this thread, so...

if you can get to SoF, you should be able to clear it...
coordination? it takes 1 person to properly shoot dragonslayer spears. tanks to pull mobs, and ppl to shoot cannons. how is that any more coordination than SV HM, cannon fight? or any other instance battles.
if ppl aren't used to it, maybe it's time to get used to it, after getting that far. SoF doesn't need a hard mode, it needs ppl to start learning how to play the game, on even a basic level.
I don't even see how it's possible to fail the fight, if you seen it before, and know the mechanics. Do ppl expect to get carried through all the content, as long as the game exist? maybe ppl should stick to watching anime or something, if you can't even beat such easy content.
It's not about hardcore vs casual. there's plenty of casual ppl that are skilled players. Some of the coil world first clears, were made with casual ppl on the teams. If you can't clear this content, after coming that far, you're just really incompetent, and lazy. You just need to ask ppl with clears, to help you out, but even that seems beyond the capabilities of these incompetent ppl. they just whine and demand nerfs, to already easy content.
it's just mindboggling how ppl can't even follow such simple directions, as to clear this content. What were they even doing in earlier content? afk their way through it all? What part of SoF, is difficult?
Well, to be fair, there is a delay after you press that "magical button," which I heard was only a problem for controller users. I had the delay when playing on PS4, and did learn to accommodate for that fact after I got hit by one of the cannons the first time. Now, I don't play on PC at all so I can't say for sure whether that problem is indeed only on controllers, or even if it is all controller users, but yeah. There can be a delay where you are "stuck" temporarily, but it's more just something you need to adjust for rather than "I can't do cannons at all because of this." At least, it was that way for me.
