Great idea. Works well with different player styles and availability too. Implementation of similar systems in other MMO's has had some issues here and there, but in the end I think its been well worth the effort.

Bingo. Also, I think we have a better and more polite community in Final Fantasy in general (by miles....), so IMO I think concerns tend to be overstated. Many more of those groups were fun than the couple you got that were bad. In a few ways it isn't so dissimilar from getting a random party together in FFXI back in the day. Some people you knew, most you didn't but it was generally a blast.
signed. Please on PLEASE SE GODS, put this feature in T_T
Signed. Would definitely make scouting around nodes for leve-goers easier.
need this badly. signed.
signed, player searching would be great too
Yes please signed.
I'm on par with the others here. Cross-Server instancing and maybe even partying would solve some "I'll Idle all day long" issues. But on the other hand it will be "probably" (doesn't have to be) like WoW. Get into the queue, don't talk, get your gear and leave.
It would be awesome if there's some sort of player filter. Let's say you can adjust the strength of the team. So Advanced Players will "only" play with advanced players. This kinda locks out the beginners from the advanced people, but the advanced players often don't like beginners in their team if they want to do a "quick" run.
So the possibilty to mix up those groups should be still given. The quick runs schouldn't be too easy and quick for the advanced players though. Running thru an instance within 20-30mins is not going to cut it. The rewards with EXP and maybe gear should be balanced in the instances.
For short term activities there's still the guildleves, incase you don't have much time to spare each day for instancing.
I dunno, there are a lot of pro's and con's. I'd be great to play with people from other servers, so you get a chance to play with RL friends who started on other servers. Like I said on the other hand the community might be downgrading to "boring and quick runs".
Hmm maybe it would be an option to adjust the strength of the enemies within the instance regarding of LV and gear values. So the difficulty of the instance raises if there's more advanced players and incase the group contains 2-3 "weak" players, the instance is still doable at some point.
This would solve the issue that the parties won't kick unexpierenced players. the disadvantage of this might be, that the players can adjust the difficulty at some point. "Lets pick 2-3 weak players so we have an easy game on this instance".
To work against that the gear/money reward could be adjusted as well. So only if you have a full party of advanced players they will only be able to get the better gear. This could be something like "Beginner Parties" will be rewarded with NQ, the "Mixed up Parties" with HQ and the "Advanced Players" with HQ+1/2/3 or something like that. (I know I know this kinda copies the Equipment Level from WoW, but the cross-server stuff too xD )
Ah well I'm eager to see what's coming up. The forementioned things are just random spreaded ideas, so don't take it too serious ;)
Cross-world partying would be an instant quitting flag for me. The system is already mindless as it is, remove the actual possibility for socialization with people from your server and there is nothing left of value.
Level-synch + bigger server population will solve every partying problem, so let's not be childish.
A cross-world system would also help RMTs to progress by mingling with normal players.
The flag is a great idea but you need to build on it. Allow for multi ques. If I'm sitting in town crafting and want to grind, but im not sure what I want to level, let me que up my MRD my LNC and my CNJ at the same time as I craft. Itll increase the chance of finding a party x3 and ill get some useful crafting done too.
