As long as the attire doesn't go too high fantasy (M:TG), or completely overboard (i.e. skull pauldrons with glowing red eyes), I'll be fine with it.
BTW, there is something about suspenders and pantaloons that's seems very very Final Fantasy. I do very much hope the Development Team uses that particular sketch for further inspiration.
Can we get female outfits that are a little sexier?

So where a Lala cuirass can cover alot of stuff, Highlander cuirass should not only be bigger but cover less stuff, have different elements so that the "essence" of that race still remains seen. Some images are small but they are mostly from Tactics Ogre so you shouldn't have any problem figuring out what's the style I wish to see infused within FFXIV :P
As you can see it doesnt have to be "sexy" or slutty at all, I'd hate that. Just more feminine and elegant tho. That's for sure :) -

Just a small thing that might shine hope on those who want more regional variation, from the information about GuildLeve reforms:
Personally, I really like the way the armour is done in the game at the moment, and I find much of it to be 'feminine' enough for sure, though perhaps this is only in keeping with the Moon Keeper Miqo'te - it isn't something I really pay much attention to. Perhaps my favourite thing is that when you get a solid piece of armour (full plate chest piece on a male), it doesn't strip it away to a bikini style top on a female - I'm looking at you Rift!Quote:

What metaphorically turns my crank shaft in this department is little peeks and hints of things that i don't think i should be seeing. I know the saying goes "less is more", but some times in some glorious instances More is less. I think bar none one of the sexiest thing a female can equip in this game is a cowel. There is a hint at the figure beneath it and then the rest is left up to the imagination.
well then that was a bit more revealing then i expected it to be. i will return to my regularly scheduled regiment of one liners and bad attempts at homespun wisdom. -

Well, for me, it really depends on the gear class... Heavy armor, I think the Chainmail bikini is the dumbest thing ever. At the same time, the occasional exposed midriff is OK (providing the male version had similar like Warriors in XI)
I think Barbarian outfits with exposure would be alright though.
When you start getting into kunoichi type gear though, bring out all the sexy you want. There should be a mix of covered and exposed in the light armors.
