Turn 2 "easy mode", disables every mechanic in the fight

There's no bravery in engaging a raid boss. There's no courage there. It's a flipping pile of pixels. It's a piece of computer code. There's no courage or bravery or honor or valor in engaging one. It's a freaking game.

A lot of the people here are simply angry because they spent hours, maybe even weeks, just trying to down T2 even with a static. It was a learning process for everyone, and a really frustrating one at that. It really came to show the coordination between different teammates. Then this so-called "easy mode" method appears, where people effortlessly clear the boss, which makes the time spent by older players learning to clear ADS using the "proper way" look so wasted and inefficient.

Let it go. I was one of those who did it with a brand new static group, using the "proper way" of silence rotation and rot passing too. If people choose to clear it one way or the other, that is their choice. If they prefer to do the easier content, so be it.

T4 mechanics are a different ball game altogether. Even if they cheese T2, there is no known way of cheesing T4 until it exists, and you can bet that as long as it requires the least amount of effort, pug parties are going to cheese it too. Let me reiterate that static parties often almost always have better coordination than pug parties. There is a reason they are pug parties - they are formed to clear a specific turn, nobody knows each other, and everybody just parts ways after the turn is cleared, and life goes on again.

Should they not be able to pass T4's mechanic, then they won't ever down it. But if they decide to cheese through T2, why not just leave them to their own devices? Learning the rot passing/silence rotation on T2 has minimal to zero impact on how T4 would be played out. They are different instances, with differing mechanics, so I can't see how cheesing T2 would mean they are bad players and unable to clear T4. If they are unable to clear T4, they will either suck it up and learn how to do T4, NOT T2, or they will forever be condemned to not clear it. I don't see what's the big deal.

When people decide to run Coil, there's only 2 reasons: they either want the loot, or they simply enjoy the challenge. I don't know of anyone who's done Coil for the latter, and as such, they aren't out there to enjoy themselves. The loot is their goal, and if this method makes it easier, albeit a little longer, to get what they want, then why should they not do it. There is no right or wrong method, there is only Method A or Method B. You can bet that after weighing up in terms of effectiveness versus time cost, people would probably not do the enrage method if they had to wait 30 clicks (minutes) instead of 12. But 12 clicks (minutes) is not too long to wait for, and if I was ever pugging Coil, I wouldn't mind waiting an additional 7 minutes to clear it reliably, rather than continue wiping for 5 hours without an end in sight.

Same with Titan HM. First few times it's "Wow! This is difficult" (actually had a FC member say that, bless them), after try 20 it's hmmmm when is this suffering going to end? Or in the case of Titan HM, 'Mom where's your credit card, I need to get to sellinggil.com'. Disclaimer : I never paid for a Titan win, never will for any win. Got a good FC, learn2dodge, etc. Learning Coil is the same but the curve is steeper.

Meanwhile parties will be selling Coil wins4u in Revs if they're not already on your server. Law of unintended consequences if this mechanic is abolished.

I run Titan HM from time to time because I enjoy running it myself too. I don't pay for runs, and I run with good FC mates who are willing to learn, and also enjoy fighting Titan HM as much as I do. Even after 2 relics, and another one coming up. I have a tank, a healer, and a caster DPS role trained up, so every time I go in to Titan HM, I pick a different role and it's always refreshing to have different mechanics to answer to.

But yes, challenging content is one part, and frustrating content is another. For most newcomers to Turn 2, what begins as a challenge, slowly ends up in frustration. In that sense, I can see why they would prefer to resort to this enrage method.

Take your time and drive to work safely, but don't speed to work and get caught in an accident. Isn't this really familiar?

It's probably a mistake to interpret the ilevel requirement as the difficulty. Also you don't need ilevel 80 until turn 5 and there is no way 1-2 is tuned to that level.

My guess is that extreme primals will sit between turns 4 and 5 in difficulty.
