Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

I'm going to take a guess that there was rampant back and forth arguing so much so that mods couldn't contain it? A thread that big getting deleted is surprising since we've been told to keep it all in 1 thread.

I've been actively watching the thread, but chose not to post much. However, I wasn't there in the moments leading up to the thread's deletion. I was watching earlier that day, so I kind of have a feeling of what the discussion degraded into. That being said, I rather not repeat anything I saw.

Let's just hope we get male viera, however the devs choose to design them.

Senn is correct, let it be about them adding Viera and not what they should look like. Matsuno is the one who will design them how he wants, along with Yoshida and his artists.

I'm convinced the deletion of the thread means there's no way they'll add them though. They always tell us that if we want something to let them know and show support for that specific feature to be added, so deleting a thread with almost 2,000 likes (few threads get that much in this forum) is just a nail in the coffin in my opinion. It's too bad though, the missing genders would've really sold the next expansion more than they realize.

As others have pointed out, their practice at times was to clean the offending posts instead of deleting threads. This very thread had a lot of fiery exchanges, it stood around; female Viera came out. To me, all of this considered nails the coffin on male Viera (and female hrothgar). The game isn't even making the slightest attempt to promote the possbility of it like it did with Au ra and female Viera. Until I see the relic quest or msq start to bring up Viera there's really nothing to go by.

To my knowledge SE has never given a straight "no we are not adding male Viera/female Hroth" answer, and so I'd say it's still a possibility...however remote.

This has been the reaction to the controversy since day-1.
They explained several times why they did the genderlock, and that MAYBE, they may add the other Genders in the future. "We make no promises, but don't rule it out"
So until they outright say something or have anything to show for it, we are on a constant 'Will they/Won't they' We wont know until it literally happens or not.

I feel like the longer they leave it in limbo, the greater the resentment they'll have to contend with from the playerbase as a whole. If they truly don't think they can swing it they should just rip that bandaid off, and fast.

We're in luck viera was added over a year ago!

It\\'s far from what people have been doing in the previous thread which is probably why it has been deleted.
