Request to unlock Hempen set styles

He said in an interview "The Announcement Showcase is meant to be a platform for a large announcement, so feel free to have high expectations."

In that case I expect FF14 will add 1 Ultimate per patch and that they'll be giving everyone 3 extra retainers for free.

ABSOLUTELY 100%! I'm a new player and love this game, also very quickly became a glamours addict, so I was very disappointed to find that I couldn't access some of the items I desperately wanted to utilize because they were race locked, would be nice to have them unlocked for glamour purposes, I mean I'd even pay for the unlock option

I'd really like these sets be included for other races, like the miqo'te hempen top for au ra for example. Now with all the resources spent on male viera, I think it would have been nice if they could have spared some to have these items available for all races!

Just want to bump it up to see if there was any status for this request.

Glad to see this back up here. We desperately need this. Especially me, for my au ra. I don't see why they can't do this. Resources aside, this is a fine suggestion, and I don't think they have ever said "no" to it, as far as I am aware.

Yeah the au ra one has me scratching my head, also it would be nice for vieras since they got the midlander one.....havent they said something about race identity in the past?

Making universal sets would be nice. More options is cool.

I will gladly exchange my Highlander bondage outfit for your very comfortable looking top and pants.. I might even pay if I can get the midlander set.

I am all for the racial starter sets being bound to those races but the hempen sets should be unlocked for everyone yesterday.

The cat boys and bunny boys want to run around in Elezen male hempen top and I, for one, do not want to deny them this.

Made a fem highlander alt and I would kill for their top to be on my main viera. I would never take it off. It is perfect for dancer. But also the miqote one is so nice and goes with everything. As a glamour addict I need these released. Hell, even the au ra version would be welcome.

The lala chest piece would look nice on other races too, a pity...

I'm not sure. I just don't recall them saying this would be impossible. Frankly, it wouldn't make sense to me if it were about racial identity, considering viera are using midlander's set, and they are mostly all just general pieces; no real racial themes. This would probably be one of my most anticipated additions to the game. Many of the hempen pieces are great for many glamour combos.

I'll pass on the highlander hempen set. :p I think you should be able to use the au ra set, and the midlander set though!

The last and only time the Devs got asked this question it was translated badly to where they thought we wanted the separation of what we now have as underwear if we're not wearing anything and how the hempen set was the underwear in 1.0. So, that they thought we wanted something that I guess is attached to the skin/body seperated which is what we got told couldn't happen. I would love if this got asked again even if it was seen as a fluff question. But with it getting translated properly. As the lalafell and miqo'te's versions would be cute to use in various glamors. Even the elezen one looks nice for some fancier tops.

The male roe version of it is almost impossible to include in a decent glamour. It covers too little skin to work in a serious glamour, yet it also covers too much skin to work in a fun glamour. I can't think of any way to incorporate it into a decent-looking glamour.

I would love to be able to use the hyur midlander and highlander variants. Midlander has a nice tank top which can easily fit into almost any regular outfit, and highlander has a harness which has countless possibilities.

It would be nice if these sets could get unlocked for each race and have a racial modifier attached to their set (midland hempen set, highland hempen set, Elezen hempen set, etc)

It could also pave the way to see Viera and Hrothgar to get their own versions of a hempen set without losing what they already have. (Female viera, we don't have a male viera alternate wear so they can probably come up with something similar. / female and male hrothgar)

It'd be nice to see but I'm not expecting it, given that they have to make each piece fit every individual model. And if they do, similar to stuff like the unlocked bunny outfits, I expect it would be worked on slowly over time when they can squeeze it in.

Considering that SE has apparently now taken the feedback from the Japanese forums to heart, I think this thread as quite enough likes to be worthy of consideration. So I'll once again post my support.

Want to bump it up again. Notice that some gear was able to be worn by the opposite gender. Would like to see an update to this in a later patch

I agree! The Hempen Camise on Viera looks so nice, but on Au Ra it turns into this... odd top with an open midriff. Was a bit disappointing so I'd like to throw a +1 in.

Miqo Hempen is best hempen and should be brought to the masses! Would make my glamour life easier when I fantasia D:

+1 for this! I don't know why this piece has to look radically different depending on your race...

I mean, there was an outcry to have the bunny suit unlocked for all genders and races to wear. We got that to wear. With the prem notes up more outfits has been unlocked for all genders/races.

There will be always more glamour outfits coming regardless.

You could look at it like you'd be getting six new top and bottom pieces while still having the set the race your currently play as already have. :D

2021, almost 2022, and still no news….wow lol.

If they unlock those sets can they unlock all of them even male/female ones for male/females. I would be perfectly happy with the night shirt and pants lala's have, but would not mind swim trunks from the guys side of the bench. Having more of the gender locked items being lifted would also be amazing, but do not wish to ask for too much. Like how men can wear the 2b set but females can't wear the 9s set.
