I got booted from like 5 Garuda HM parties today 'cos I wasn't able to dodge her abis.
I thought that the problem is on my side, but then I launcher FF11 to check if I lag there, no lag at all.
Lag is so bad that this game is unplayable for me atm...
Well i am kinda getting annoyed with my problem i don't know whether my problem is lag or not but here is some screenshots of it http://imageshack.us/g/1/10351210/
I do fine for about an hour then the game becomes unplayable i get 90k everywhere... in town, field, dungeon, etc....
Experienced this around 2-3 weeks ago and mostly on the weekends. Ping to the server would be double my usual and tons of lag spikes. It was fine for around 2 weeks. Played last weekend with no hiccups at all. It has suddenly returned this weekend for no apparent reason. Was playing just fine Friday night and I wake up Saturday morning to tons more lag and way higher ping. Definitely not an issue with my ISP since it can spontaneously change from good to way bad in the course of a day and only affects this game. Don't really know why SE keeps tinkering around and "fixing" things that aren't broken. It's dismaying to see this happen on the beginning week of my paid subscription.
I have read half morning through many posts and threads like this. I live in Sweden playing on Lich(EU) server. (I know the server central is in Canada)
And I can tell you all I have exactly the same problem as you guys. My internet is certainly not throttling. I can stream HD / Netflix on PS3 or read news .. do whatever I want with instant respons.. even my candy crush is working like a charm ;)
But this "lag / delays" everyone has been talking about is happening to me too. I don't know now how long time it took to get Titan.... constant knock off even if I basically use sprint while running and can be like 2-3 seconds away I get knocked.
Dissapearing mobs just suddenly while quest or FATE's
Even my load times is quite long when entering some dungeons. And while we talk about dungeons. Stone Vigil i recall the name was?
First boss: My character on screen is way behind the boss after rush and still I get breathed / stunned / and then dies immedietly. As a healer this is frustrating. I told them everytime.. See guys , I rushing behind and then stand still.. but they tell me no that I'm infront of boss all the time like I'm standing there for 3-4 seconds then run.
Last boss: all this stuff ... I even show my friend if I need new eye contacts cause i'm clearly outside and even he was .. ."what happen?" I see you dont stand in anything..
Finally this epic thread I will happily /sign because it is 2013 now and you SE clearly not listening to what the community says and talking about. Not even talk to the community..
I know your not Blizzard but they try most of the time to always fix and talk to the community.
Geez... Take care all, cause I will probably not subscribe until this is fixed. (hint: put some good servers in EU region and you will see me buy 1 year immedietly)

I thought it had cooled down a bit but it is back and worse than ever right now. Seriously Square, get your house in order. Even this forum is going slowly.

I have been having many of these same issues. Lag spikes in dungeons, towns, out in all the different zones. Here in the last week it has not been as bad, but I still suffer from it occasionally.
I am also having a problem with my moden randomly reseting whiling playing. It only does it while playing FFXIV. I can play any other game all day long and the modem is fine. Load up FFXIV and within an hour or two the modem will reset. This happens more often when in a dungeon. I am on AT&T 12mbit DSL.
